I’m using the stock kit with the Vanquish Stubby kit, Rhino 80 esc and 1850kv outrunner motor, running 3s, JConecpts Megalithic tires, injora green inserts. I moved my shock location up a hole from the manual settings.

The new wheels have a very shallow offset. If you run the brass axle weight they will bind and stop the wheel from turning.

They are stock shocks with softer springs and lowered down to were the link is mounted. The badge was 3D printed 👍

@@kellerluizdossantos7776 sorry I don’t, they were from my spares box off some old shocks I had. My original plan was to get some 80mm shocks with spring options and leave them in the stock position.

Hi , thanks 🤩. It’s a VRD carbon kit. It has the stubby kit with alloy servo mount. I’m using the top most hole on the shock tower front and rear and running a small 650mah 3s battery through a rhino 80A esc. 👍

It’s the Chinese chassis from Aliexpress. The one that comes with the gearbox 👍

The battery goes under the hood on a battery tray. You could get a full length pack in there but I have my esc taking up one end. I typically use 2000mah 3s.

Thanks dude! Both chassis are actually made by the same guy so the the quality is excellent on both. I like both chassis but maybe the RS-X1 just a tiny bit more, but I think its more to do with the Capra axles, I’d prefer non portal 👍

@@xMMAATTx Oh wow I didn’t know that. Is it a discontinued chassis? I didn’t see it on their website when I was looking. If you don’t mind me asking, what size hubs do you have on the X1? While I got the SCX version of the C1, it is the same width as the Capra version. The AR44 axles with VP Method 105’s and 225 hubs is just too narrow. I’m with you on that I don’t care for portal axles either but my only options are portals or wider hubs. I’m caught at an impasse and don’t know what to choose. Thanks for your time!

@@turbojonv no, the X1 won’t be on thier website as they were made years ago. You can still find them on Alliexpress though, try searching “HPM SCX10” there’s a few other nice chassis that pop up too 👍. I’m pretty sure the SCX and Capra version are the same width, it’s just the skid mounts which are different. I’m running stock hubs that came with the wheels on both chassis. The C1 is a beautiful chassis with more detail than the X1 but for me the Capra axles spoil it a bit as they jack the frame up and the track width is a little to wide for me . One day I’ll put some straight axles under it and it’ll look the dogs doo daas!! 😁

@@joeb4957 I don’t have the scx10 version only the Capra version. I didn’t realise the scx10 version has a chassis mount servo sorry. On the web site it says max battery size is 150x60x20mm. Sorry for any misinformation 👍

Daryll Cantu you will a little bit, but again it only makes it more stable. They say too much articulation is a bad thing. Your axles can get twisted up with too much. Take a look at some real life competition crawlers, they’re quite low slung machines👍

Hi Chris, The Losi does take a bit of getting use to, you can't just hammer the throttle like other trucks other wise the rear will swap ends on you lol. It needs a bit more driving/throttle skill. As you've seemed to have found out the locked rear diff is a nightmare if you want to go fast more than crawl. I had no intentions of crawling mine so I went for the open rear diff kit to make it more forgiving. Also changedd out the wheels and tires (the stock were way too grippy for my driving style) I have a thread over at RCCrawler with more info on parts i used. www.rccrawler.com/forum/losi-rock-rey/607863-mats-losi-rock-rey-kit.html I hve a gyro RX to install soon, that shoud tame the best a bit more lol. The Losi is still my go to truck for fast offroad fun, even if if it is a challange to drive :-) Hope you have some luck with yours.

Yeah I think I'll stick with it but like you I'm more of a high speed offroader and don't have any crawling intentions with it so I think I'll get that open diff kit. Yours seemed to perform much better. I think I just got to get used to it but the wheels definitely must go lol. I've never seen a truck roll over as easy as this one. I was literally taking my first turn at like 5mph on the street and it flipped right over! Lol. I really appreciate your insight! Subbed! 👊👌🍻😁

@@xMMAATTx Did you have to cut/grind down your axle tangs a bit? With the locker the two axles basically touch in the middle of the diff. So with the open rear diff kit, surely the axles hit the middle cross bar and therefore can't go in far enough??

byrnieman1 From what I can remember , the shafts do meet in the middle but there’s o-ring seals each end that seem to seal well with with the thick diff fluid.
