To VFD or Not to VFD? The age-old question of do I use a VFD with a liquid ring vacuum pump was answered.
How does a Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump Work?
มุมมอง 41K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Nash, Busch, SIHI, Elmo Rietschle, Dekker, or Speck. Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps are widely used in power generation, paper making, poultry, carpet, chemical, plastics, and many other industrial applications. But how does it work? Watch this video to understand its operating principles. Learn more about vacuums at www.ewklein.com.
Isn't cavitation a problem with this design or for all pumps with liquid and vacuum?
Weirdly enough, no, or atleast shockingly little, where i work we have several of these, a few of them have been runing for around 250 days a year without any problems, atleast for 2 and a half year, and i have no idea how old they are as ive only worked there for 2 and a half year
@@Gollet95 thanks for the info!! surprised but very interesting
@@fjs1111 When its mentioned yeah, i agree as cavitation can be a huge problem, im far from an expert or engineer, but i guess the design have a lot to say in this case as it can suck air in wich negates the cavitation, while a normal centrifugal pump doesnt have the luxury to alleviate the vacuum that appears wich leads to cavitation in side the pump
If you can control the water temperature and keep it cool enough it shouldn't be an issue. Where i work we actively cool the system water to around 15 degrees Celsius and we rarely get cavitation.
@@Nasadus good information, thanks for that
Video is good, music is terrible, annoying.
Aque RPM funciona
A strobe light would make things much more obvious to understand.
This Tie dude seems cool.
Great information. Currently working a project. Any design guide for Shell & Tube?
