@@R7300Corsa extremes sound great but dang are they loud. My buddy has them on his full exhaust c6 z06 and it was so loud my ears were throbbing. Sounds like a nascar 😂 I love these Blackhearts like crazy because you can have loud as heck with one button and nice and tone with another. Valves sold it for me. Side note. I have Corsa Sports on my Mustang and they sound so damn good. Not as loud as extremes but still sound nasty.

@@TheWolfMatt The LS7 was the whole reason I wanted a C6. I heard a C6 Z06 in person when I was younger and it was cammed out. I fell in love with the entire car and sound. Told myself one day I’d get one. Well 11 years later I have my cammed C6 Z06. Not the fastest car around. Definitely not the newest, but I love it.

One that has set many records in its time and perhaps many more in the future. A car that, what I believe, still has the heart and soul of a pure American sports car. @TheBeastCarson94 I wasn't even much of a corvette fan until after the C6 came out. I've been a mustang guy my whole life but I wouldn't hesitate owning a C6 Corvette.

@@brianspangler3771 You and me are a lot alike. I have an 03 GT, 04 Cobra, 13 GT, and this Z06. I love mustangs like crazy. They are much more affordable. But once I drove the Z06 I instantly felt the difference. Much more refined in every way. Only thing that sucks is that corvettes are much more expensive. MUCH.

@TheBeastCarson94 You've got an excellent collection in your garage. The 13-14 GTs and 03-04 terminator cobra are my top two favorite mustangs of all time. I currently have a 98 cobra but I'm thinking of selling it and getting 13-14 gt next year. I'd like to have both but I don't have the space. A terminator would be really cool but the prices make me and my bank account cry.

@@brianspangler3771 I would highly recommend a 13/14 GT all day. It’s my daily and I absolutely love it. Such a fun car to drive and looks great with some mods.

Appreciate the love my friend! And no, not every engine will sound like this with an aftermarket camshaft. Every engine produces its own unique sound. Hence the reason why Ford, GM, and Dodge have such different sounds to their engines. So much goes into the “sound” an engine makes. All sound really good. Just about everyone knows the chop of an LS engine though. Gotta love it!!

Bama Performance tune. Complete dog crap tune but it’s all I had to go with at the time. Most of the chop is going to come from the idle RPM. I believe mine is set around the 750 range. When you have the idle higher it doesn’t chop as hard. Exhaust is: stock manifolds, bbk x pipe, SLO loudmouth 1’s.

Sit close, yes. Not touching though. They did however touch the inside of the tunnel before they go over the rear subframe. Had to trim a piece off to stop it from tapping. It was driving me crazy.

@@TheBeastCarson94 yea that would drive me crazy. I messed with mine and got it to where they clear the sway bar but it’s so close that they have to be hitting while driving. I’m going to attempt to get more clearance this weekend. If I can someone get some lift on the X pipe where the hanger bolts on then that will help

Mine are the exact same way. I got under there one day and loosened everything up and finally got them almost perfect, but even after that it’s not perfect. Much better and hardly noticeable. But not perfect. That’s the only downfall of this exhaust is that out of the three people I know have put it on has had the same problem as us. One guy had enough and took it and had the tips cut off and adjusted perfectly.

@@TheBeastCarson94 well crap. Yeah it sounds amazing but def hard to get lined up. The driver side is perfect but pass side is just angled inward enough to drive me nuts. Also the mufflers themselves are sooo close to the sway bar. So far I haven’t noticed them hitting but I only drove it once and it wasn’t very long. I’ll get under it this weekend and loosen that passenger side up and see if I can help it even a little bit

It took valve springs for me. Only modifications I did on my 03 Romeo block were cams, springs, and retainers. All from CompCams. Still running strong 100,000 miles later.

The valved option was a must for me. You can close them and cruise around perfectly fine, or open them and let the bald eagles fly.

@ I have a mild2wild switch that goes into the fuse panel that controls the exhaust from open to closed.

It’s another day in a paradise called Memphis. It’s hell actually. 😂 Anyways, the Hooker exhaust has been awesome. Fitment is very good. Only thing I could even think of complaining about is that the driver’s side muffler tips are not completely straight. Not noticeable unless you’re really paying attention and extremely OCD like I unfortunately am. I have gotten the tips as straight as possible but without grinding the tips off and re-welding, I got it as close to perfect as possible. You may be able to see it in this video. I am just extremely ocd and notice everything little imperfection. I have talked to other guys who have had this exhaust on their vette and they didn’t have any issues so I may just be the rotten egg of the bunch. As far as sound goes, they are absolutely nasty with the valves open and when closed you can easily have a conversation in the cab.
