I love this fiery little piece by Robert Muczynski. I wanted to record it in honor of the great pianist Martha Argerich with whom I am MORE than privileged to share the birthdate of June 5! This prelude gives a quick snapshot of the kind of playing she does on a far, far larger scale. She is a great inspiration to all of us to keep playing, no matter how many birthdays we see!

Thank you my friend! I really appreciate the encouragement! This was a test recording after I’ve mostly healed from a broken finger back in Oct. ‘21, on my left hand (tip of the middle finger). It’s doing quite well and I’m thinking it may be ready for training on some more difficult music now. I do love these sweet little lesser know gems though, I’m glad you like them too. I hope to fill up my channel with more of them (one of my bucket list items😎).

This past January 27, was W. A. Mozart’s birthday. More importantly (for me anyway), my mother was born on the same date. This year, 2021, she would’ve been 83 years old. I’m still new to LumaFusion, my video editing software, so I missed publishing this on the actual date, but, in honor of her own musical ability, her encouragement to all her children in music, and all the music she brought into our house, I wanted to get this out even though it is late. The performance is not perfect, but the basic idea is pretty solid I think. Hope you enjoy this beautiful music from a composer I began to love only later in life.
