What about AI it is becoming conscious I think so.

Once an organism can differentiate itself from its surroundings it becomes conscious. To do that the organism must have sensory inputs and capacity to process those inputs; consciousness emerges from the outcome of the processing, so consciousness is non-physical, but it is a property of that organism and does not survive the dead of the organism. We are able to make an organism unconscious by knocking out a physical communication pathway of the organism so stop looking for consciousness outside an organism.

I don’t subscribe to that thought. I believe that for an entity to be conscious it must have the capability of sensing and processing sensory information. I don’t think the universe can sense a part of itself and think “it is too hot here, let me balance the temperature”.

Something opened up in my mind. Seems like my consciousness expanded.

This video reminds me very much of a poem I wrote years ago about how I feel about creation. Watching these images confirmed my feeling. Also, collapsing into nothingness if there is no continuous expansion or change, seems very logical. I place the first two stanzas of the poem below. It's hard to argue against this theory, panpsychism is an interesting perspective.

Logic does not dictate that "nothing comes from nothing". That is essentially the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Such a "nothing" then includes the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Where did it come from and why is it noth something? Physical laws simply define the boundary between what can happen and what can't. As you remove physical laws, more things can happen, not fewer. In the limit, "nothing" and "everything" become the same thing. Logic dictates that "nothing" is not emptiness, but infinite randomness. And infinite randomness includes everything possible in it. Like infinite monkeys typing on infinite typewriters producing the complete works of Shakespeare -- an infinite number of times -- infinite nothingness will also include every possible ordered structure.

This is Reality as I see it; 1) All that exists is One Consciousness/Mind ('God' if you like...). Beyond this not anything else exists. 2) We are all unique momentary Perspectives (Souls) comprising the One Consciousness. 3) That which we, collectively, 'perceive/reflect' is Mind/Memory/concepts (the little bit before us at the moment). Every physical interaction is a mutual registration. This means that every physical interaction is already a rudimentary form of perception and information processing. Otherwise, action and reaction would be impossible to explain. Nothing else happens at the micro level in the bodies of living beings . Therefore, it is logical consistent that matter has at least the intrinsic potential for consciousness. Today we laugh arrogantly about the animism of our ancestors, but it is a perfectly logical consequence. If we are made of matter and have consciousness, then matter must have consciousness. Since all other things are also made of matter, they must also have some kind of consciousness. Today we dismiss this as a kind of magical superstition. But it is much more ridiculous to believe that consciousness suddenly appears out of nowhere like in a Harry Potter fairy tale . This mental poison of division goes back to Plato. The senseless substance dualism of "living spirit" and "dead matter" has its origins there.

It seems the universe evolved in such a way that more complex creatures like us are born and feel itself through our senses. In quantum level something exists only when someone observe it. There is no universe without us

The universe went boom bang a bang ages ago. It had grown far too large and eventually had to implode like volcanoes. From then on it has been slowly building mass by creating large energy balls we call stars.

For those not harboring on any of those ancient ideogies, nature provides ample thought processes to live by. It only a clear mind to appreciate what's available and what's not. We dont always get winning answers.

Then they created books which tell you the things you must not do. And then called them holy books. Which obviously made that god Almighty.

Thoughts like these helped create all the gods on earth. That we have a soul which is controlled by a higher being. And that we must not behave in unfashionly ways. If we do, that god will punish in many ways.

I enjoyed the presentation but have one nagging thought. How does the knowledge that the universe as we understand it to be, is expanding at an ever greater speed affect this theory? If the expansion is true, then the universe is becoming less complex not more so. Or have I got this all wrong?

The whole observable Universe (within an eternal and infinite cosmos) is all connected, humans are part of the connectivity, where it is impossible to say that one thing starts and another thing ends. I love your statement "We are the Universe knowing itself". At one time, in the eternal, infinity, there must have been "nothing", which changed into what we call "something".

Does the universe think-or are we merely tiny fragments within a vast consciousness, a timeless picture of which humanity has only glimpsed a small part? Perhaps we don’t simply live in the universe but are part of a continuous flow of thought beyond our own understanding.

Perhaps, it has it own way of consciousness otherwise how would it drive billions of planetery systems
