    new version - bad batch of blanks? hmm.. wonder if St Croix recalled those from the store and/or replaced the ones already sold??? I"m looking at mojo inshore 7'6" M vs MH. Is the MH flexible or stiff/rigid? I'm favoring the MH, but afraid it will be too stiff.

    • @lazyyan2918
      @lazyyan2918 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The old MH is a bit stiff of a rod, im not sure how the new ones would handle but i would recommend the MH if your targeting fish between 15-30 inches. In the video i rock a M and it begins to struggle with fish around 15 inches or bigger. That is also taking in to consideration I have my drag locked because of the fact that if they pull drag, i run the risk of getting rocked. As for the bad batch of blanks, I have no clue what they did but hundreds of people were upset, glad i got a good one.

      @lazyyan2918 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Unplugged704 oh yea those striped bass pull nice and hard man, i would definitely get the MH, I wouldn’t risk having the medium because every now and than i start sweating and it’s only like a 16 inch cabezon, I couldn’t imagine hooking up on a 30 inch stripe

    • @rustyshackleford1325
      @rustyshackleford1325 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 7'6 MH isn't stiff, it's actually got a good amount of bend it which helps with distance. The drawback is the weight. The 7'6 M is super light just over 4oz where the 7'6 MH is close to double the weight at 7.4oz. It's balanced pretty well, so the weight is spread out. I think if your looking for a M power or even a MH/H under 7' then the mojo inshores are the way to go. Once you get into the heavier power rods 7'6 and over they start to get weighty. Personally I think if your set on that 7'6 MH save a little longer and go with an Avid Inshore. It's a little more then 100$ more expensive, but it's nearly 2oz lighter then the Mojo.

    • @lazyyan2918
      @lazyyan2918 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rustyshackleford1325 to me, weight isn’t a problem, i can fish a 5 pound rod for hours, in my opinion the avid is better, (i have a H, MH, ML) but they arnt worth the extra 100$ compared to a mojo

    • @lazyyan2918
      @lazyyan2918 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on your fishing style/the fish you target, im targeting fish under 20 inches so the medium works perfectly fine, i also prefer lighter setups simply because it takes a little more work to catch the fish. If you are targeting fish over 20 inches i would definitely get the medium heavy because there are several times when i catch really big cabezon(20inch+) I swear my rod is going to snap. Gets pretty scary.

  • @CrazyCranker
    @CrazyCranker 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm wondering if these are better then the Avid inshore? Same SCIII carbon, about the same guides-Avid has a 15 year warranty vs 5 year on the Mojo inshore. Hmm...decesions, decesions.

    • @lazyyan2918
      @lazyyan2918 2 ปีที่แล้ว
