Hatchling & Juvenile Dwarf Monitor enclosures
is that a mister or is that water always dripping ?
Very cool setup and beautiful animals. What's the species at 1:15? Is that a Biak? That coloring is amazing, almost looks black with very dark greens. But I see Biaks after that and they look normal. WTH is that?
How much would one of those cost?
@@Heikin-Ashi-Larry the cost of one varies based on whether it's a recent wild caught/farm produced (2k) or produced domestically in the US (2500-3k depending on breeder).
@@reptilerevolt6581wow.. what do captive bred green trees go for?
Lil dude is adorable 💜
cool👍👍
Ouroboros in training, he will get there s2
What are the dimensions of your tree monitor enclosures?
Adult pair are in a 6' wide x 4' tall x 3' deep (front to back). Singles males are in an enclosure self the size (3' wide x 4' tall x 3' deep).
Amazing work, congrats!
Beautiful. Have you found any of the tree monitor species to act differently from each other (in general) ?
@tylergoldstein not really; they all have individual personalities. Some are outwardly curious and trusting while some siblings that have had identical care are standoffish and less confident. Overall, when USCB vice wild caught, they're mostly curious and open to trusting you. Just gotta establish a relationship by not forcing any interaction. Tong feed food and slowly gain their trust.
🔥🔥🔥
You should make more videos about tree monitors. There isn't a lot of good content on here about them.
Awesome!!! The black trees I got from you are amazing!
I figured you'd be pretty happy with those little babies. Super friendly
What are the dimensions of your adult tree monitor enclosures?
Is this one a female?
These aren't being offered as a sex being guaranteed but the belief is that this one may be female.
What are the dimensions of your tree monitor enclosures?
Are they are harder to breed than the prasinus ?
Really cool enclosures! Looking to build something similar. What type of ventilation do you have on these enclosures?
None. Ventilation occurs when I open the enclosure daily.
What are the size of these? Im inspired
They're 6' wide x 4' tall x 3' deep
Are you still breeding tree monitors
The Underconstruction(?) could be made nicer. But the inner space - killer - crazy - supercool! Lucky little guys to live inside there.
How about some dimensions of the actual enclosures?
They are each 4' tall x 3' wide x 3' deep and rest on a 24" stand
@@reptilerevolt6581 Thank's for replying and for the awesome content you put out there, it' very inspiring.
Doesn't get better than sitting in a warm hand and beingfed lunch.
Where did you get that blue monitor lizard
Hey man, those enclosures are beautiful. I listened to you on the monitor keeping podcast. I used to live in La Habra and I used to go to that pet store and totally remember not even walking all the way in and seeing the green tree monitors and that literally changed my life haha. I will never forget that and now I am a monitor keeper.
Peck was awesome and LaHabra Pets was a cool spot to learn about reptiles. Haven't been there since 2007 but it was a great time.
Right on man well just fyi, you have a fan!
@@donna7243 appreciate that. Hope you enjoy the content.
What kind of heat pad did you use? Link to web address would be amazing. Thanx!
www.reptilerevolt.com The heat pads are the smallest zoomed heat pad which I believe is around 8"x4"
Wow!! Amazing enclosures and animals!
Hey love ur animals do you use just sand for ur ackie monitor's
I dont use sand as the enclosure substrate (use 1-2" of reptibark). The nest boxes are a mixture of sand and peat.
Lmao
You mix locales
Not ideally but its near impossible to find a female Jayapura to pair with the male Jayapura. So, ya go with what you've got and in this case it was a Sorong locale prasinus.
Beautiful
Got a pair from you about a month ago, they doing great.thanks
Thanks for sharing your expertise. I’m curious about the heat-pad. Is there space between the totes when they are nested together for airflow? Or is it wedge between the the totes with no space? I’m just wondering about fire risk with both side covered. It’s my worst fear.
The heat pad is between the two totes so there isn't any potential for it to contact moisture and cause any issues.
Awesome!!!!!
Where did you buy from?
Can you do a video on your enclosures? I love all your setups and I aspire to make one myself when I come across a tree monitor breeder. I want it to be perfect like yours are. But I would like to learn what all did you do and where u get all the furnishings and stuff that comes with it. Thanks in advance.
Wow!!!!!! That is sick!!

Was this successful
Do you still have theses?
I wanted it raw
Do you ship to Germany?
We ship to the EU but you would need to have someone on your end capable of receiving
@@reptilerevolt6581 I would recieve
Spoke to you on fauna recently. Your cages are insane.
Can you just keep a pair together? Or will this cause stress for the female?
Were these eggs successful?
Did it result in fertile eggs and if so what did the babies look like?
Do you keep these guys separate full time, and only introduce during breeding season?
Do you know of any research papers on this species? How did you acquire one, not many people seem to be aware of this beauty.
Do you happen to have any babys available for sale? I've been trying to find one I've found some adults but wana start with a baby.
I have two of these available if interested. Please feel free to send me a message on my Facebook page (Reptile Revolt).
Beautiful animals. So they are born spotted and then loose their pattern with age or do some of the adults retain the spots? All of the examples I have seen are solid black. Thanks and keep up the great work!
All black tree monitors are hatched with the speckling but it dissapears relatively quickly as they grow rapidly during the first year. Some retain it longer than others but it always disappears entirely eventually.
Is that chicken or turkey that you are feeding? Just curious. Beautiful animals.
Raw chicken but they like turkey too. Their diet consists mostly of insects but they also receive hoppers/quail/& chicken occasionally.
Reptile Revolt Thanks.
