Im much more familiar with the superfanatural channel but even these videos i really like your writing style.

Every sci-fi i watch, i have to look for real world examples of things that happen in it lol. This actually makes it more fun for me to over analyze every sci-fi i watch. Because i usually end up finding out really cool things about wildlife and the universe i didn't know before

I would suggest that much earlier drawings inspired today's common devil depiction. The earliest one I can recall comes from the Malleus Maleficarum, published in 1486. There's several in there that are very easily identified as the modern common Satan (minus the color, because the book wasn't published in full color). More over, in Austria, Krampus (a sort of evil Santa that whips people) is likely a left-over of pre-Christian pagan imagery/myths and he looks suspiciously like a primitive version of modern Satan or a demon, minus the red or pitchfork. Personally, this is where I think the look originates from, a purely oral pagan tradition which eventually became syncretized with Christianity, but got in early enough to influence the common peasant's idea of what Satan would look like.

I actually believe more of this than most. Specifically, I don't think GoT's 'magic' is actually magic. I think it's all Clarktech, at least in the books. Mind you, I don't think it has anything to do with Stargate (it couldn't for various mundane reasons, including copyright), but I do think it's probably a part of GRRM's earlier sci-fi setting - he was mostly a science fiction writer back in the 80s. Mundus is probably just a backwater planet that's been ignored by that universe's space empire for millennia because of how remote it is or because they're busy with yet another endless civil war, but nanotech is probably what 'magic' really is, along with dragons being a human-made biological weapon, which also explains why certain people can bond with them - they've been designed to have human masters. It also explains why GRRM has never confirmed if magic or gods are real or not in his books. This isn't my original theory, but it's certainly lost favor over the years, as Ice & Fire rose to prominence above GRRM's earlier works that all existed within his shared sci-fi universe. It could be an entirely separate cannon, but he's literally set ALL of his previous works in that universe, for decades.

Fun fact: when paganism started dying out, what did & didn't get reclassified as witchcraft was all over the place. There were people who still openly practiced what is generally referred to as folk magic. There's different regional terms for a person who did this all over, but they were highly respected as faith healers of a sort & when the nobles did try to arrest such people, all it did was make them famous & more people started trying to seek out them or people adjacent to them. This big push for "Christian Magic" was likely an attempt to create a cleaner, Jesus-approved alternative to this practice so they could finally end it. All the nobles could really do is teach their kids in schools that folk magic was for dumb, poor idiots whose families couldn't afford a good education. Which, I like to think, that sort of thing accidentally led to Deism (believing there may be a God, but all religions are bull.) & the Christian magic thing accidentally led to court mystics across Europe, who in turn led to some of the weirder Christian cults in the US, who emphasized putting on shows, faith healing, speaking in tongues, giving prophecy, etc.

something i wondered is if energybending works like the other 4 elements as it works so differently and notably seems to be linked to the spirit rather then the body, as spirits are able to use it when they cant use other forms of bending and you can apparent use it in the spirit world even without your physical body, one would also assume it is linked to the chi sense stuff we see them do with the tree, of course not having access to the spirits of pass avatars+raava if someone else were to learn energy bending it would probobly be significantly less impressive, think your basic better control of your body, some super senses, maybe you could like sharpen the chi around you to let your hand act like a blade or at most launching a shockwave for a ranged attack, so still probobly considered inferior to "True" bending in most cases and would likely be considered akin to chi-blocking in that it would be more akin to an exotic form of mundane combat

Honestly battle magic is probably the one area that I would change in the magicians. The spells themselves are fine but honestly I wish the effects were much stronger/bigger.

the fire spell was their adaptation of ''Isik!'' I guess which in the book was the main spell for igniting stuff and only needed one hand, putting the middle finger on top of forefinger's tip and pushed it backwards

"fancy hand movements"? No, they look awkward like when I was a child and thought being able scratch your head with your two hands on different spots at the same time makes me look like a genius but I'd prolly looked like a monkey. i like to believe eliot's red finger spell wasn't actually battle magic! eliot seems to be generally inexperienced and has little knowledge of battle magic at this point in the show. it's such an incredibly emotionally charged moment and we know his telekinesis awoken via a moment of contempt and ample opportunity. while we dont know if he moved logan kinear or the bus itself, he did so without casting. i firmly believe the red light was eliot honing his telekinesis for an immediate and precise effect. he doesn't even speak while doing it. he sees dean fogg on the ground and just reacts. while it was offensive magic, i dont think this is a battle magic spell he had studied or known beforehand. he's just that bitch frfr!

Force requires energy. And the force Superman would require to lift a lot of the insanely supermassive objects he’s shown to lift in the comics, movies and animations would require way more energy than the sun even outputs, or more than he could possibly store in his body, no matter how dense his cells might be (more dense would mean potential for more cells and therefore more energy storage.)
