Bishan North,a part of the Town of Bishan is a residential area that is part of the Marymount community and also an area that has a unique history (while being the home of the current Whitley).
The whole of Bishan was once a Cemetery area which once belongs to the Peck San Theng,which is a community of the Hakka and Cantonese people.It was also the battle ground in WW2(Which most parts of SG is also the same thing.) and the land continued to be a refuge area while being a cemetery (similar to Bukit Brown and Lim Chu Kang) until 1973.
The land was later used for development by the government to bulid the new town,which is,Bishan New Town,which consists of Bishan North,Bishan East, Marymount and Sin Ming.
As this vid talks about Bishan North only,we focused on it's iconic 1989 HDB Blocks along the side with the 2000's and 2010's Blocks aswell(Condo and Landed Property isen't really counted so ye) and also about the Parks around the Neighborhood :)
