I did exactly this and my camera lights up when I’m in reverse, but the screen doesn’t switch to the camera video screen. Any ideas? Feel like it’s a setting or something in the unit but I can’t figure it out
What i would do is with the car on but not running just where the radio turns on. Put it in reverse with the head-unit out but still connected and and connect the video wire to the other video or check the reverse signal wire (the brown most of the time) sometimes when putting things back it can get disconnected. Just try things around sometimes the labels on this units are misplaced so you have play with them until you get the video on the screen.
@@backontheroaddiy I gave up lol. I’m like 99.9% sure it’s because I bought an NTSC video format camera and my android screen only supports AHD or TVI, no options for NTSC

Yes because it is connected at the reverse light. So when you go in reverse the reverse lights turn on, and power up the camera.

I literally was stuck in Massachusetts for over a week too. I’m derated rn and took the speed sensor out and made it to NY.
The speed sensor is some knowledge we need to pass on. A lot of owner operators can save thousands knowing this. Specially how expensive things are now. Glad you made it to your destination 👍🏽💪🏽

Sorry brother i just saw your message. Most of the time the derate is cause for emission problems. You should be good. Just be careful use a gps to check you mph

I know i need to get a mic asap lol… and as far as degreasing, sanding, and alcohol after sanding yes I did it one after the other. Then I apply the first coat, waited 15 minutes and I applied the second coat. Thanks for the advise i will keep it in mind for my next videos 🙏🏽👍🏽

I have the same headunit, problem is I think it doesn't connect to my car amplifier and that's why the sound is so low and the quality bad compared to my original headunit, you know how can I activate/connect my car amplifier to the headunit?
Check the package. It comes with different harnesses i think one of the harnesses is for cars with more audio components. However my car has an amplifier as well and with the regular harness it sounds great

Good question, it happens because of rust. I live in the north and the salt after a snow storms causes a lot of rust underneath the cars. And going through train tracks. Pot holes, just regular use. it is just a manner of time before it breaks. I check the passenger side and it is very rusted too i have to replace it before it breaks. To me i was on a red light and when press the gas it broke.
