2 year ago I Have attended the exam but fail so now I am Planning again for Cswip 3.1 so I am asking to everyone for which Pattern will apply old or new ??

@@JavedKhan-dh6pe once you failed in your exam if you are going to reappear again within a year then the pattern will be same.But considering now almost you have completed two yrs after the unsuccessful examination.so now it's like a new registration and the syllabus and pattern will be as per the latest edition.

By Blind flange you can do this technique. If you make a hole at the Center of the flange and weld with the Pipe is called Centre on flange pipe weld. if the hole in the flange is away from the center or offset and welded with the pipe is called off center.

P no is a grouping number that is assigned to base metal. F no is a grouping number that is assigned to electrode and filler rod. A no is for chemical analysis of weld metal deposit .Based the chemical composition A number is assigned.Is it clear??.

In Some case single pass can become a layer and in other case multiple passes can become a layer. layer is a thickness of the surface. Its depended upon the groove geometry. In simple terms for the understanding take an example of three story building, basement is layer consider pillar as pass. So first layer is basement second layer is first floor. Pillar quantity may change. So the quantity of passes also changes. Welder have to follow the WPS for the Electrode size.

@@manigiri7728 A layer of weld metal consisting of one pass or multiple passes.it depends upon the base metal geometrical groove design.for the diameter of electrode follow as per WPS.

@@manigiri7728 For the acceptance criteria check with the code of construction which is applicable to your product. Ex ASME SEC B31.3, Asme sec viii. To check the weld reinforcement you have to use a weld profile gauge.

@@manigiri7728 it's applicable only for carbon and low alloy steel electrode.In case of Other electrode, for the current and position you have to refer the standard ASME sec ii part c.

The testing machine shall be equipped with two upper and lower parallel platens, and the width of the parallel platens shall exceed the width of the flattened sample, that is, at least 1.6D. The length of the pressing plate is not less than the length of the sample. Thickness is depends upon the selection of the machine and load.
