Lennox claims that in Christianity you are not judged based on merits, not on your good deeds, or your excellence. Christians are already there and have eternal life. Is that why Christians are overrepresented in US prisons percentage wise compared to the overall US population? It is a fact that atheists are underrepresented percentage wise in US prisons compared to the atheists in US population.

I admire Dr Lennox and he has taught me much. I say the below in the gentlest way I can out of love for the man. His explanation is missing the very important focus on what good works does to you AFTER you have received Christ. Dr. Lennox is 100% though that good works are NOT meriting salvation, but they ARE sanctifying you. Justification - Being made righteous in front of God through the atonement (the Lamb of God) offered by our high priest Jesus or 'salvation' or receiving our inheritance as children of God. Sanctification is the maintenance of the inheritance and growing in grace, holiness and removal of sin in our lives, by being faithful to DO (work) the will of the Father. Matthew 7:21 KJV - 21 Not every one that saith unto me Lord Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. We cannot merely profess by words and then remain passive the rest of our lives. We MUST do what we can to preach the Gospel and sin no more.

What a silly old duffer John Lennox is, he claims Christianity is true because he has an imaginary friend called Jesus and has accepted him and doing this makes him feel great. This only explains Lennox's mental state and certainly does not prove the veracity of Christianity.

John Lennox is a name-dropping fraud, he talks a lot but actually says very little. His answer to everything is "God did it", which means he doesn't provide an answer to any question. The most important questions are not answered by philosophy, because philosophy does not provide answers, all philosophy does is allow people to talk about the questions. Philosophy is like praying, the only person to benefit is the person doing the philosophising and the praying.

In the beginning there was no bible - so people just prayed randomly to everything or nothing something just had to stick - so much later someone came up with the idea to write a book and call it the book of all books and to make it a best seller said it all came from God - now we still have a lot of fools who, guess it will refer to this book and call it evidence - if you read the bible you will see it is as useful as a box of sand in the desert - but just like a box of sand it is a lot of fun, more so with a little showel and a bucket - it has been discussed many a time, is there a God or is there not a God - well fact is no one has seen a God and no one has created one just by talking well at least not in the physical way - what we can say is God is a lot of hot air and a lot of people are making the hot air - but come wind he is gone -

truth for all religions If you are gay or transgender or know someone who is, this is important information! There are many who refuse Christianity because of how they’re required to live their lives, by God’s Holy standards. They simply do not want to. Then there are those who claim to be Christian but pick and choose which of God’s standards they will follow. They’re considered false Christians. To be a true Christian is to follow Christ’s example as closely as possible despite our imperfections. It’s not easy to do this in a world that hates what you stand for. It’s not easy to love your neighbour and your enemy when they do not feel the same way about you. Remember, Jesus said… “ If they hate you, remember, they hated me first”. This is why only a few are walking on the narrow road while the majority walk in the spacious road. It’s ok though, because the righteous and the meek will inherit Gods kingdom. All others will perish. So turn to God and follow Christ before the judgement arrives.

Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur on Christianity Thinking about the virtues and faults of this world, some moralistic monotheists concluded that this material world is not a place of unalloyed pleasures. Indeed, the sufferings outweigh the pleasures. They decided that the material world is a prison to punish the living entities. If there is punishment, then there must be a crime. If there were no crime, then why would there be any punishment? What crime did the living entities commit? Unable to properly answer this question, some men of small intelligence gave birth to a very wild idea. God created the first man and placed him in a pleasant garden with his wife. Why is one living entity born into a house filled with sufferings, another living entity born into a house filled with joys, another living entity born into the house of a person devoted to God, and another living enttity born into a wicked atheist’s house? Why is one person born in a situation where he is encouraged to perform pious deeds, and he performs pious deeds and becomes good? Why is another person born in a situation where he is encouraged to sin, and he sins and becomes bad? The followers of this religion cannot answer all these questions. Their religion seems to say that God is unfair and irrational. Why do they say that animals have no souls? Why do birds and beasts not have souls like human beings? Why do the human beings have only one life, and, because of their actions in that one life are rewarded in eternal heaven or punished with eternal hell? Any person who believes in a truly kind and merciful God will find this religion completely unacceptable.

People like Lennox mistake their unshakable supernatural faith for hard evidence. Belief in things does not equal fact, someone that smart should know that. His faith means it's real to HIM, not all.

A few points: "two streams of evidence *pouring in*..." - erm, no. "they are made in the image of god" - that's a fact, because it's in the Bible? No. "look at the evidence..." - oh, the fact it's written in the Bible that makes it "evidence"? "I'm living because I've got it (acceptance)" - and you know this for a fact? "None of them (other religions) offer me this" - as if you tried them. Let me make a wild assumption that John Lennox was raised as a Christian from a child and has never at any point in his life rejected Christianity and later gone back to it. There's many things I could say about how one's childhood and upbringing influence the rest of our beliefs and lives, but I think Philip Larkin said it best in his poem: This be The Verse =============== They fuck you up, your mum and dad. All religions, for me, give people hope. Yes, the theories and all the rest become a bit scientific. But in essence, what seems to be a shared consensus between all religions is a sense of hope. This hope is more of what we need in this world. If you have faith in any belief, then it is beautiful. My own beliefs aren't so much with a judeo- Christian beliefs because im not really with the idea of a cosmological political standpoint. Where it's then hierarchical. I see life, creation, and existence, much like i see music. Music isn't going anywhere. If it was, then the best composers would be the ones that got to the end the fastest. The point of music is just to listen. The same is what i see as life. The point of being alive is simply just to be alive. No hierarchy required. There is no purpose other than this to be alive. This gives me hope for whatever life throws my way. If i accept both the good and the bad as 2 end of one pole and see them both mutually agreeing. And see the yin and the yang ☯️ in all things. Then i have nothing more to 'know' ❤
