@@theswerunner thank you! Interesting about the noise reduction. I shot footage last night with almost these exact settings, EXCEPT I had NR at -2 and it was too grainy. I’m going to try your settings. One thing I also noticed is that if I’m moving very fast or there are a lot of twinkly lights, I have to set shutter to 1/200-1/8000. Thanks for sharing!

@@theswerunner thats good to hear , but u know its not all about low light , mostly use for this action cams in day time and who is doing action activities in night time , no one u get my point , i get the action 5 around 2 weeks ago i was happy and excited to use and get desepointed from the quality and the funny thing believe or not my action 3 way better in video and photo quality , cuz as i said action 5 features is great and they offer good things but in the quality sorry action 3 way better so i decide to sale my action 5 and keep action 3 and for low light i have osmo pocket 3 , so no use for the action 5

@Elmofidbelarabi yes, i use it mostly in daylight running. But sometimes when the sun is going down so need to find a midway setting that works for both 😅

@@theswerunner in this case action 4 is the best option but everyone see it in the way they want , its just me i dont like the action 5 quality whatever in day or night even im dji users and big fan of it

@@babyboy1971 👌 great! I do have it on the same settings now. I did some test last week. My settings this past week was 4k 25 fps, shutter 1/100-1/8000, iso up to 6400, texture -2 and nois -1, Ev. -0,3. It worked Great in low light and day light so i think i will stick to that ☺️ littlebit darker picture with the shutter on 1/100 but i can live with that.

@@theswerunner yes and mostly in night. i liked the footage. however i felt it was little cartoonish at first but then i updated it to latest firmware. happy with the look of it now.

@@jatinpanghal2570 yes, i have been trying to play around with the 5 this week, have taken de sharpness to -2 and add some back in davinci resolve, an i put the iso range to 100-8000 to get down the jitter. It has helped littlebit but you get slight darker picture

@@theswerunner yes i put texture at -1 and noise reduction at -1 as well. gives very clean look. also tried setting iso max to 800. it gives a very clean footage in good lighting and a very cinematic video at evening time. also yesterday I received the updated for high bitrate option. do check that out. bitrate is almost 2x now. also added few more features.

Good quastion 🤔 never tried that. I think it can be hard for it. Guess I have to try 😂

I still like the Action 4. Have done some more filming lately and it’s sometimes better than the 5😅

I just did some vlog test to se how it looks and sounds 😊 i’m using my action Camera when i Run and stuff like that And for more vlog and talking head i have my pocket 3. But the action 5 is small and can resist this type of conditions. But yes there is vlog cameras like pocket 3, Sony zv series. I did hear that dji will come with an update to the bitrate issue.

@@theswerunner Honestly? Has DJI officially announced this? I don't think so because the chip gets problematically hot in conjunction with higher bitrates

​@JuiceBiker I was using a zve10 for vlogging and just bought a dji action 5 and sold off all my.sony stuff. I think it's the perfect camera for volgging, it's small and lightweight, plus the stabilization is 100x better which was one of the main reasons I switched

I started with GoPro hero 10, just for fun to run with it and learn some english 😅 still learning and would like to test some other cameras aswell. But i can’t buy them all 😂 so i have to make the best of what i have. I like a action Camera because it’s easy to use, small and holds up good in snow, rain and even dropping them on the floor 😅

😂 yes, the older action Cameras are still good, and for talking head stuff iPhone works perfect 👌 It’s feels weird that’s why i’m trying to push myself 😂 and speaking in english aswell, still learning 😬

@@babyboy1971I will try to do that 👌 I did shoot in 4k 30 fps and to be honest suprised it worked well in the subway 😅so i think the iso did a good job. But you can see the flicker from the stores when i walk. I’m living in Sweden so i should film in 25 fps and shutter speed at 1/50 to get best results. But my dji neo has only 4k 30pfs so i can’t mix them in the same timeline when i edit to get great footage. I Will be trying to do some more manual settings testing 😊 And for the Action 5 so for really happy with it, i have done some running and filming with it for a shoe review and it has been better to expose than the action 4. Did some running later in the evening so I have to see how it looks ☺️

@@babyboy1971 I Was trying the flicker in the Subway today, seems that if i have the right frame rate 25/50 fps it works good with the light or 30 fps with the shutter speed set to 1/50 or 1/100 think it’s because the frequenze here is 50hz. In running i’m using a longer selfie stick from insta 360 and for vlogging/tripod shoots ulanzi mt-8 (smaller one) or the bigger brother ulanzi mt-34 😃

@@theswerunner good info! Look up @TravelingAhn on TH-cam and he has a lot of videos on action 4 and 5, flicker reduction, and he also shoots in the subway in his action 5 unbox and first test. It’s very interesting! I hope you post more action 5 videos I’d love to see them. How are you liking the camera?

Nice, you like the air X1? ☺️ The obstacle avoidance has been pretty good if it sees it in the camera. I have been running 4 times around threes and stuff and it did stop twice on more heavy branches with leafs.

@@theswerunner Så är det, började själv springa för 7 månader sedan och upptäckte nyligen zone 2 träning. Under 7 månader sprang jag på fel sätt, för fort!!!

@AlberGrau ja det är svårt att hålla igen i början. Är van med fotboll och innebandy där de bara var att springa så fort som möjligt 😂 Men nu efter några år av löpträning så inser man att de är bättre med lite lägre intensitet 70-80% av passen och något fart pass i veckan för att orka hålla i vecka efter vecka ☺️

@@Gabriel85Mihai yes it hard for me to pick another shoe on my daily runs now. But i’m trying to use the rest of my rotation aswell and save the SB 2 for longer runs
