I played this on first day of release as i built a brand new pc to play it and i was so disappointed not with the visuals but gameplay and how boring it was. I even felt the same way with doom 2016 nice visuals but gameplay is nothing like what the classic doom is and the level design to the maps and how intricate they was like playing within a maze with walls and ceiling coming up from the ground forever changing the map with traps. Now if they made doom 3 like that with these visuals but with better colour without the lockers and reading the messages it would've been another success on there hands however because of this boring gameplay and how the guns was it got a lot of hate for it as we wanted classic doom and even today we still haven't got that classic doom back with today visuals and NO doom 2016 and eternal are NOT classic doom gameplay again nice visuals but for me not doom
