RC Shuttle flight 2

Much like the 1st flight, a little less throttle (battery) usage. Control throws increased and expo reduced. Quite easy to fly actually.

Eventually to be EDF powered and with landing gear, this test was to confirm the CG and flying behaviour of the model- so far so good.

FW Venom bungee launch
มุมมอง 1824 ปีที่แล้ว
The sod farm grass was too long on this day for a wheeled take-off. Fortunately I'd installed a hook for just such an occasion and had the launch equipment, often used for other models. The Venom has a Wemotec EVO fan which is very efficient and sounds great, I think.

Inspiring!
The space shuttle was not designed to fly, but only to decend in a controlled manner.
Well done Tom! Congrats!!
Beautiful!
Looks absolutely amazing!!! Would love to see this launched on a model rocket... although I don't think that would work that well
Glides very good
70% of vid is a test of old mans arse.
That’s it?
Super curious about that slingshot deployment! Super clean! Details on that?
What plans are you using for the shuttle
Well done! Barnaby Wainfan's presentation at Oshkosh got me interested in low aspect ratio aircraft.
Nice! Surprised not to see a control movement check before launch ... I launched like that once, with a glider, and had forgot to turn the receiver on! Doh!
Years ago I began a scratch-built Buran project, I need to dig it out and finish it someday. Will definitely subscribe and keep tabs on your Shuttle model. Good luck!
Nice vulcan 👍
the control on that is insane.
Beautifully trimmed! My RC Shuttle was always a bit of a handful.
Now go get it.🤪
That's awesome
WOW nice! I have been making planes too! But they are HUGE and not nearly as stable as yours keep it up!!!
How did you make these?? And can I get some for my FW L-39???
Hi Tom, I'm really interested in how you managed the sliding canopy? Thanks
Badass!
Damn That's a sick looking gripen!
What a beauty!
Brilliant modifications
Fantastic ! Please share some build videos 👍
Well done!
Very nice work!!
Very nice and scale-looking modifications. Let's hope the paint-scheme also becomes scale!
Thanks Tobias! For sure- I think it would be the right choice.
Hello Tom, how exactly does that release mechanism work on the foot pedal?
NiceWork here on the FreeWing F-22. You've got those unsightly Black Tires completely hidden and the Strut Channels covered up as well. WellDone !!!
Very nice Tom, you really get made very realistic (scale) Spitfire FL1600..Thanks a lot !
What gear are you using in this Corsair? I have one with mechanical and I want to switch to electric.
