Follow along in my events ranging from scooter commuting to multi-day stage races. As a racer over a hundred kilos doing races over a hundred kilometers HK2 has become my shorthand for the big man moving big distance.

Toby has not ridden a bike in 12 years. He happily volunteered to film me though on my scooter commute. So he rode 50 miles while filming for his first ride back.

Wait, you're from Denton? 18 of the best years of my life were spent there, and I still have family in Corinth and Carrollton. Massive respect making that journey on a scooter, I bought one to try out because bikes are so expensive now and it arrives tomorrow, I'm so excited!
50 miles on kick scooter in one day. that takes some determination. If average 5 mile per hour that would take 10 hours to compete.

Nice brother...When I fly in to McCarran, I bring my kick scooter and scoot all over vegas...I've scooted from the airport to Fremont and back. Running is great too especially in the dang heat.

I love scootering though I would avoid those shitty texas highway style roads like at the beginning where you were at the stop light with a coffee.
Wanting to get scooter..... what scooter you got..... is it good?
“I don’t have my badge. I got to go back for my badge” Go on then 🤣🤣🤣 Tell me something. Do you do this ride regularly in the good weather. The 2nd time would be easier. After 20 years I only learned how to scoot with either foot on the deck. I wish I did that a long time ago. But now the 10 mile rides are a doddle. 10-12 miles covers most parts of Cork City in Ireland. From end to end.
This is epic man. I’ve been push scooting for over 20 years. And the most I ever done was 10 miles. But at 66. I regularly do one run of 9miles. And lots of 5 miles out and back. The sweat and the need for drinks is high.😊

How much effort does kick scooting take compared to riding a bicycle ?
Riding a bike is far easier. Way more efficient.

Surprising, I felt crazy for thinking about doing half of my commute to work between two hills by kick scooter, 5 miles one way and transfer bus, but now I feel like I'm no longer alone
Air wheels could be the solution ✨
they would be much smoother. the Amish use scooters with pneumatic wheels that are 16-24 inch that are much better.
Any truth to what people say about them slowing down the ride along with the glide experience?
pneumatic wheels are slower depending on teh surface. If its very smooth hard wheels are better, but any bit of rough will be faster on pneumatic. Its easy enough to increase you tire pressure to reduce the drag. @@t.terrell7037
Whoa great idea with the lights on the back pack. When I come back from the park at night with my scooter I never have a back light because i was like there's no where to put it.
the light I used is a blackburn light. it is a clip but also comes with a rubber strap for handel bars or bike seat posts. it can be red solid/ flashing or white solid flashing. I also use the white solid setting when I run and its enough for sidewalk/ road running. a really useful light for $20. I also carry it clipped to my backpacking pack as a back up incase my main light fails.
I watched your video in the beginning of 2022, it was one of the videos which inspired me to take 10km ride on my kickscooter in May 2023 alongside the ocean.

I love this. I just bought a razor so i can scoot around the neighborhood with my kids and get some more exercise and its a ton of fun. I'm here thinking how exhausted you'll be at the end of the ride and then you still have a full day of work ahead of you!
my kids quickly ditched there small scooters and claimed my A5.

I found a StreetRunner Dart recently and it's practically become my identity! Tried a few of Razor's more expensive adult scooters but the new anti-rattle folding mechanism comes loose after a block. A5 Lux is probably the best choice in their line. Getting mine tomorrow!
It doesn't start until the mental aspect wants to seriously Quit! When all the fun and games is gone! Overcoming what you think you absolutely can't do!...The Grind! That's what David Goggins is trying to convey. To get past the Quit factor that every individual has. You either get this or you don't. STAY HARD!

Dude how can you stand even one mile in a scooter without pneumatic tires?
PU wheels are so much fun on flat surface but fit some pneumatic wheels and it feels much safer and more comfortable

If the tour de France was first raced on kick scooters, no one would bat an eyelid, when they saw an adult on a kick scooter but it is still considered a bit weird, a bit of a stigma, so I thought what the hell, and got one, so fast healthy so efficient, and cheaper to maintain than a bicycle, this is the future. Keep Scooting
Im 60 and still Skateboard. I bought a Razor A5 to allow my dog to run more. It is so fast, smooth and efficient. I put my phone mount (from my bicycle) on the handle bar, plugged in a podcast and off we went! Well worth the $75.
Bike prices these days are insane! I found a Madd Gear Kruzer 200 at Wal-Mart for $40 and it arrives tomorrow, I'm so excited.

Hell yeah I watched til’ the end. The video was awesome! Very disappointed u didn’t cross the finish line with the boat though. That was kinda like the whole point of the video that made it extra special haha!

How difficult is it to use a kick scooter in the rain? I got one just now but it's got smooth wheels and I'm kinda worried that I'll hurt myself while riding it in the rain
Depends on the road surface. Asphalt is fine but smooth cement is slick and so are paint stripes. Also the rear wheel sprays a ton of water on the back of your legs. The brake isnt long enough to act like a fender. Also the brake dosnt work at all when its wet.
