I love how as an adult, I’m still enjoying this and can learn from the lessons taught in your videos. Watching this reminds me of the days I was a kid and watching your concerts. I met you a couple of times back in the 90s. I had a cassette tape you signed for me. Crazy how times fly. Technology, fashion, cars, etc… all have changed drastically throughout history but the human heart has remained the same. We all need Jesus and have to look at our own heart.

Hey, Mary, I've been rewatching your show, and I'm curious. How much of the show changed in Season 2, which premiered in around 2011? For starters, I think the opening theme changed from "Better Together" (which was in Season 1, which aired in 2008) to "Jesus, Bright Morning Star".

Hi Catherine! I have done one but haven’t released yet. Trying to figure out how to navigate this world and how I can actually work it all out. Now I understand why Mr. Rogers was so well loved and popular. I still remember watching him in kindergarten. I remember watching your concert when I was 6 or 7 when you visited a church in Chino, CA. New Hope I think. I loved music as a young kid already. Still do today. It’s amazing how it hits the heart.

Is this show still on? My little nephews and niece would probably enjoy this one. I remember so many of your songs as a kid. We sang your song At Grandmas House back when my cousins and I were kids for our grandparents’ 50th anniversary celebration. It was so fun because my little cousins were under 5 and fighting for the microphone the whole time. The rest of us were around 9 or 10 I think. Now we’re all grown up in our 30s. Time flies. We loved your songs growing up. They are very relatable too.

It’s so fun watching the next generation enjoying the same music as I did as a kid. You are so much like Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood only with music too. I don’t remember if you had a show on when I was little. Which was a little over 30 years ago when I first saw you in concert. If I remember correctly my mom had said that we attended one of your first concerts. I don’t recall the year. I just remember that I was pretty little yet. Maybe somewhere around 5-7 years old. I’m 39 now, if that helps.

Aww I remember this song. I remember you at a concert at New Hope church in Chino, CA way back in 1990 I think. I was about 5 or 6 years old. I was able to meet you and you signed a cassette tape for me. Wish I could say I know where it is today. You were the sweetest musician I’ve ever met. It’d be fun to meet again. I always loved this song. I had the smallest feet of my family and friends as a kid and my mom always said that they would grow. They grew but they are still the smallest in my family. Guess this has become my life song. Even at 39 years old.🤪

Are they actually playing the instruments or was this a soundtrack? I asked because the guys on the left are wearing gloves. I didn’t think that it was possible to play a guitar that way. That’s incredibly impressive if they did. I mean wow!

I live near Los Angeles, home to nearly 50,000 homeless and the greater Los Angeles area reaching over 75,000. I served as a missionary in the inner cities for a few years before health problems brought me back home. I lived in the Tenderloin of San Francisco for a while, serving the homeless there. I saw so much, to say the least. The broken, the battered, addicts, prostitutes, and the list goes on. I moved to San Diego after my training was completed and I continued to serve in urban ministries. Watching this brought tears to my eyes and brought back many memories. I miss serving in the city. I’m hoping to be a part of this again somehow and someday soon. Since this video was made, homelessness has increased drastically.

Gosh this takes me back down memory lane. I was probably 5 or 6 years old when I saw your concert once. You signed a little cassette tape for me. And I didn’t think I would ever use that term again.😂 Growing up in the 90s was fun. We used to sing your songs all the time growing up. My dad was a huge fan of the gorilla. I’m now 39 years old and so much has changed in life. So many heartaches and challenges and so many blessings too. God’s greatness and love remained the same through it all.❤

My children and I saw you at Calvary Chapel Capo Beach oh my gosh, in 1993? We still love your songs to this day. We sing one that says; “Now it’s time to say good night, we say our prayers and turn out the light, but before we do, you need to know, just how much, I love you” We’ve never been able to find the song and have often wondered if we just took several of your songs and put them together into our own, good night song for years! Thank you for being such a great blessing!
