Looks to be in fine shape. My buddy drove a 92 dodge dynasty. 6 cylinder. It was a smooth ride.
I wish yall didn't call spoke wheels "poverty caps".
@@doctorfeinstone6524 hubcaps in general . I do refer to them as upgraded wire caps in my 2nd video about it.
If that was someone's pride and joy, they must not have had much of each.
Fascinating! Keep up the great work Go Mopar!
Excellent
@@greasebellygarage did u see what I did when I cleaned it up...
@@rainbowmangarage I may have missed it somebody started talking to me right in the middle of the video I will rewatch it
@@rainbowmangarageOh yes! The leather cleaner soaked job. It works good doesn't it? Thanks for the plug! It looks great.

HEY RAINBOWMAN. HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT FOR THIS CHRYSLER??? Let me know. Thank Ya
@@kennyallen7099 not for sale
I’m looking for a late model Chrysler like this or even a Plymouth. Any sellers out there ??????
Had a 90 dodge dynasty which is simular to the chrysler new yorker! Had the six cylinder, very comfortable ride and nice interior! Mitsubishi made the motors for those cars and they lasted! Had ours for several years and had to have the tranny rebuilt but otherwise was easy to maintain !! Liked the style of those cars, considered mid size for back then!! Gave it to my nephew after we were done with it for his first car and he ended up wrapping it around a telephone pole on a rainy night!! We named it mrs. Nesbit!! Said our goodbys to it in the junk yard!! Thanks for the memories!
It's so stupid and dangerous to smoke over a battery..
Eventhough its a disgrace to the Fifth Ave. name, its a super rare find and would be great for someone getting into antique car hobby.
It's fuel injected, of course it'll run. They usually seem to come back to life easier than the really old stuff with points and carbs. Not always, but I think this era of Will It Start videos are pretty boring. At least you got a cheap vehicle out of it. Even if these aren't rare or valuable, and are somewhat better quality by todays standards, I'm sure the prices are only going to go up as more people can't afford late models. I'd consider getting something like this for my kids, I'm just lazy and don't really have the time or money to take a chance.
I'd add the late '80/'90s was when the ICE powered automobile was perfected as far as reliability and ease of use. Today's vehicles are superior of course but not as simple as vehicles in that era..
Not these Chryslers though unfortunately, I was actually in the market for these and could have gotten one with like 60k but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it because of the transmissions and I was looking for more of a daily car. Saw at least 2 with under 150k but owner says transmission slips. Gorgeous cars though
@@inandoutofreal1ty Understandable. That's probably where mechanically inclined people can get great deals. These transmissions are junk, but it really doesn't take that much to pull them out and rebuild or replace them. I've done a few engine & transmission swaps, a clutch, shift kit, etc. And I worked at a transmission shop running their dyno for a bit. I'm by no means an expert, but I can usually get by. I wish I could afford to pick up another project car, especially since my kids are new to driving, but we're barely scraping by. Anyway, I don't want to ramble on 🙂
@inandoutofreal1ty The Ultradrive (Chrysler's original name for 4-speed electronic auto) problems from the beginning came from Lee Iacocca himself, He'd rushed production of the transmission against engineering's advice and improper trans fluid caused failures. This was eventually fixed but cost reputation. .
@@ljmorris6496 eventually as in decades? I worked at a transmission shop 18 yrs ago for a bit running their dyno and tested a lot of A604s, so they must've still been breaking a lot at that point lol.
The starter sound reminds me of my mom's 1998, 2000, 2005, 2006 caravans all starting up. Same family of engines, same family of starters, I'm assuming.
@@Trance88 yes just updated intake. 3.3 /3.8 engine

A friend of mine has one just like this. I think it is a '91. He paid $1000 for it 4-5 years ago with about 80K on the odo. It is a summer driver and has jus turned 100K. Nice running, comfortable car.
@@JuniorFan08 I paid 300 for this. The odometer says 117k. I'm currently putting a transmission in it.
God bless you
It’s a Chrysler it deserves to go to the Crusher. Chrysler is a rolling pile of junk
ok nerd
the metal band Beseech has a song called Rainbowman from about 20 years ago. it gets heavy at 1:30 if you are impatient.

@@Veryfastslowcar66 thank you! They built this car at the belvedere Illinois plant.

These were the nicest ones of this era...
@@greasebellygarage they said this car was over 30k new
@@rainbowmangarage I'm sure it was and that was a lot of money in 92

Brad is the backyard mechanic for sure! He use to take such care of my car. Love you Bratly.
I love you Dee Dee

Use a flat screwdriver to push back the piston a bit in the caliper, before removal. Try hitting that shaft while ball joint is still in place, there is enough "play" in it to give way.
Good morning. Nice to see ya giving Goldie some love.
It is such a gift to know how to fix these things. 🐍❤ Annoying to have to fix them, but man... Saving a ton of money.
It sounded healthy for a crankover!
Thanks. The 3.3 ran great before the swap
It's alive
Progress!
Very nice. It at least cranks. Now to get it to fire and run.
I pulled the lightning hoses and grabbed a sparkleator out of the box and yeah no sparkles yet
You will get there. It just takes time.
It did stuff!!!!!
Indeed it did!
That's so cool
Enjoy my friend!
I appreciate it so much
Glad I met you and subbed with the bell on... Such a special car!
How I know it's a 1980's Chrysler product: The tach is pegged at 4 grand, even though it isn't running.
