With this signing I'd send Olafoe out on loan, Mellon back and recall Jack Stretton. Yesterday's cup game showed the back ups to Barry and Wootton simply arent performing.

Just to enforce my earlier point, our best line up would be: Ben MSH, Connolly, Hosfall, Pye, Rydel Camps, Bate Collar, Barry Wooton Only two of those started last night, any of the fringe players can step in so long as it's just one or two, wholesale changes never work.

Thank God we're out of that and I'm definitely not pretending, we didn't put out a strong team I'd say only Rydel and Horsfall would start if everyone was fit.

Cheers for your assessment and comments Rob though I don't think they will be a push over as they are solid and can adapt their shape. I also agree that a lot of anti Addai was unfounded he is a good keeper and still learning but let's also not forget up until this game against Birmingham Dave changed what we were doing with Corey after Wycombe and stopped the playing out from the keeper when Ben was brought in and the first time Ben tries to play out DISASTER ! not good enough to be playing out need more training ground time. Even some premier league sides struggle with that idea. Also think the predicted storm with high winds is going to be a major factor for the game just hope if it goes ahead that we can do enough to be successful and an early goal would help.

I think the mistake from Ben Hinchliffe caused us to crumble in the game, up to then we were doing ok. If you make it easy for a team to score and a side who press and have loads of pace we will lose, our defence is very slow. We keep making those kind of massive mistakes we will lose more. Exeter will press us from the start. Birmingham is not a friendly place for away fans lol

As I said on your other vid, if we play well we win. We did. Stockport you can tell are a decent side at this level and weren't anywhere near the worst side we seen at St Andys this season. Nice to see a side try and play rather than sticking 10 men behind the ball and lumping it forward but that was sadly your downfall too trying to play football on the deck against us. You will have a strong season without doubt

The one thing fans of teams who have been relegated from league 1 tell me is " you have to be consistently good for 90 mins in every game to stay up" Last night we were too inconsistent against a good but not great side (Wycombe were frighteningly good). Currently we're on a knife edge IMO - our season could get better or start going horribly wrong.

Funny how no one is getting on Ben Hinchliffe back about the diabolical throw out to Touray. You can just see it now with a section of the County fans would have been slagging off Corey Addai. Diamond looked class on the ball I am hoping DC can get more out of him he could be a big player for us. You can see how defence is weak against pressing\pace players. Good watch, I thought Stockport looked like a very well coached side with smatterings of quality, and I appreciate when sides actually come to St Andrews and play football instead of seeing how long they can keep the ball out of play for. Just lacked the quality and fortune on the day, I thought we were comfortable in the end but had the shot off the bar gone in or had Allsopp not turned into Neuer at the end of the first half, it might have been a different game. Big win for us though, important to put together another run like at the start of the season and good to beat a side who I think will finish in the playoffs come May.

I watched it on Sky Sports, We had a few decent moments but we got pulled apart and Hinchcliffe's howler that lead to the first goal, well, if that was Corey he'd be getting crucified and people would be out for blood. Always knew this was going to be a hard game, hopefully we've learned something and can spank them at EP in the New Years Day fixture.

Not sure who's the better talent but Stanfield is proven at championship level and would of probably scored more goals this season but has up until recently not been playing in his best position. Blues need to score early and then press for a second otherwise the game could go either way
