Hello i have hard decision Im looking at 3 bikes Trek checkpoint alr 4 2024 for 1300 currently on discount ussual price 1800 Cannondale topstone 4 for around 900-1050 Specialized diverge e5 for around 1300 my main priorities are comfort upright driving position speed most of my rides would be on side walks concreate but forrest and gravel to which bike u would offer for me im having hard time decidind i like looks of all of these bikes what i read is that canodale seems most comfy where specialize most agresive and fastest where trek is somewhere in midle in terms of speed and comfort thanks for any advice

Very informative and enjoyable video to watch! I've bough Trek FX 2 Disc and after riding it for about month and a half I can say I'm very satisfied with it's built quality, smooth shifting of gears and how it handles on paved and some light gravel paths. I usually tend to ride bike for several days in week with something about 15-20 or sometimes a bit more kilometers per ride on mostly flat terrain. I'm using this great bike predominantly for fitness and cruising throughout town. I can easily recommend this edition of Trek FX 2 Disc to anyone since it is more than I've expected from this kind of bike. Greetings from Croatia, European Union.

I just acquired an FX-1, used, but in like new condition. It’s a very nice bike, strong, lightweight, well-built. Rides nice, gears shift smoothly, fast tires and wheels. If I were buying this bike new, though? I think I’d either save some $$$ and find one with rim brakes, or spend more to get the FX-2 with hydraulic disc brakes. The mechanical disc brakes work well, but aren’t worth the extra money over rim brakes. Otherwise, a very nice bike (the red paint job looks cool), and even at full retail it’s a good value in today’s market.

I'm getting a used cannondale caad optimo Claris. Is it a good choice?? (For someone who's upgrading from a decent Shimano altus MTB to a road bike)

Really helpful post, thanks. I have the height, but not the flexibility or age for the Defy. Though the Domane is comfortable it’s way less performant. Difficult decision as i still like to hit those hills and accelerate quickly…

Great overview. Thanks. Just helped my daughter buy a used 2021 Allez Elite. It is a really nice bike. I think I should have looked for a used one for myself but got a Canyon Endurace AL 7 (with 105 groupset) before I realized how sweet the Allez Elite is. I have been riding a Cannondale R300 for 30 years and the Endurace with 30mm/32mm tires (and the carbon fork and seat post) feels like I'm riding on a really fast cloud compared to riding on semi-fast rocks with the 1993 R300 on 24mm tires. Oh, and having 11 speeds is a dream, too, compared to the 7 speed cassette on the R300. And no more downtime shifting, either! 🙂 Sorry - got off topic - I really love both the Endurace and the Allez Elite.
