@@josephjohnsonoutdoors sorry, meant base camp in regards to camping at one or two sites for the entire trip and exploring from there as opposed to constantly moving sites. We've done the latter a few times but are looking for a route which would be better for base camping

We only stayed one night at each site. If you are staying more than two nights it would be great for that. It was a pretty long route for just two nights. Didn't leave enough time for fishing!

A lot of big fish in there and not nearly as pressured as the sippi. Was jigging a plastic there in Chaska today and caught a 16 inch Sauger! Lots of 20+ inch walleye around too

I have not fished the MN river. I'll have to check it out sometime.

@@josephjohnsonoutdoors Winkel park in Chaska has a boat launch, this is a good place to drop in. Even from shore it's good due to the bend here, I've found anywhere there is a bend seems to always hold fish. Good luck!
