    Would like to know, how far did you park your car. This size tree is impossible to carry. Even in two people. I have similar sized cornus and I was lucky enough to had the car able to climb the hill up for the tree. Two people werent able to carry it...

    ...you have your own idea of Yamadori...for me its a tree grown in a harsh enviroment with very little soil and kind of styled by nature and not electrical tools so as carvers...

      That's awesome! I dug up a tiny tree today. I know it's a little late for collecting, but it's in an area where it will just get mowed down anyways. It is probably 3 years old, and they've just cut it down every year, and the trunk is thick and has some great movement. Unfortunately, it had on big tap root and just a couple small roots. I put rooting hormone around the area where I'd like the nebari to be. I clipped all of the twigs back to a couple bud nodes each. I think it will have a good chance, it's small and vigorous.
