Official TH-cam channel for The Episcopal Church.
We Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As constituent members of the Anglican Communion in the United States, we are descendants of and partners with the Church of England and the Scottish Episcopal Church, and are part of the third largest group of Christians in the world.
We believe in following the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world.
We have a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being; women and men serve as bishops, priests, and deacons in our church. Laypeople and clergy cooperate as leaders at all levels of our church. Leadership is a gift from God, and can be expressed by all people in our church, regardless of sexual identity or orientation.
We believe that God loves you - no exceptions.

Very nice thank you.☺️
Lovely and helpful. Thank you so much.
you people have just won the hearts, you have touched the souls so niecly, all the goodness is just by your side, great luck forever
What would Jesus do? Perhaps He would've mentioned that there are more living in slavery today than ever before and that puts a tremendous responsibility on all of us living today. Let us remember that the lessons of the past and the need for reparations apply to everyone and not just those who share our skin color. Let us be more charitable in judging past generations and not forget the thousands who fought and died to end legalized slavery in the United States.
I'm so glad I left the episcopal church for the acna and get to hear the word preached
This woman is not a pastor. She is a woman who wears a weekly Halloween costume.

Episcopal church evangelism youth
Sadly, churches like the liberal episcopal church, from the top down, no long consider homosexuality a sin and this particular church avoids any Bible verses pertaining to homosexuality, such as; Romans 1, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Leviticus 18 and 20. Episcopal churches don't follow their own BCP Articles of Religion for moral sins or their own definition of a holy marriage. This is why non repentant homosexuals in unholy same sex marriages are bishops, priests, and deacons. Naturally gay people with itchy ears flock to this church to hear what they want to hear, but no one is helping these poor souls by telling them the truth, especially the priests who are spreading these lies probably learned in the episcopal seminary. Matthew 18:6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

There is a gap between Jesus and his followers. Why is love so hard?
"Those who are near" get ignored sometimes with the understandable outreach to refugees; there are so many in need including White people and "all are one in Christ Jesus" regardless of whether their ancestors were slaves or whoever they were. We pray that the Diocese of MD and the Church writ large keep walls around people who are at risk of homelessness, breaking down the walls between us. Diversity not uniformity; beautiful, thank you Bishop Sutton. More Jesus, more love.
Methodist Class Meeting,.Great idea, John Wesley. sign me up!!
Sounds great!
I love this sermon so much. I hope this new wine in new wine skin includes a gender-neutral Trinity and Book of Common Prayer.
Lilies of the field, violets in the cracks, new wine-skins? Living in the now - Marvelous.
This is what happens when man and culture is over a church denomination. All I hear is feelings and no truth.
How is it possible for a church, like the episcopal church, to not only condone, but also support and celebrate homosexuality, when the Bible so clearly says it is an abomination? Most Bible verses on this topic have been "deleted" from the BCP, such as Lev 18 and 20, Romans 1:18-32, and 1 Cor 6:9-10. Maybe this explains why church membership has dropped from 3.4 to 1.7 million over the last 20 years.
I think you need to listen to the part of this video about love. It seems you didn’t get the point.
@@gavinm2183Listening again would be a complete waste of time. The ec is based on condoning sin when Henry VIII wanted a divorce and had to start his own church to get one. Now the ec continues to 'support' adultery and other sins and any church that condones sin, promotes sin, and/or celebrates sin is not a real church. The episcopal church's denies Bible and it's own BCP pertaining to moral law (see pg 869) and no longer contains any of the scriptures mentioned above pertaining to homosexuality. The ec is a liberal church that supports the idea of men - NOT GOD. As also demonstrated by it's support of abortion, women ministers and deacons who have no idea what the Bible says, unholy same sex marriages (see holy marriage pg 870 of the BCP) and the non biblical idea of 'faith alone'. I grew up in, left for awhile, then returned to the episcopal church only to 'happily and thankfully' realized the ec isn't a real church anymore, maybe it never was. So we left the episcopal church and lies and have gone Home. The only regret is for those left behind who continue to be deceived by the episcopal church.
@@johns1834 You need to read your Bible
@@gavinm2183 Don't worry, I read mine. The problem with the episcopal church and possibly yourself is; ignoring parts of the Bible, misinterpreting what it says, or just flat our rejecting what is says. For example, condoning adultery and homosexuality, as our 'former' episcopal minister and her deacon (in an unholy same sex marriage) so clearly taught us. During a one on one talk, the minister was asked to explain, her only response was; "Well, even Jesus sinned." Excuse me! I must have missed that part when reading the Bible. Maybe she uses a different Bible or maybe you can explain.
@@johns1834 the Bible also clearly states that stoning people to death is a valid punishment for sins, that slavery is A-okay, and that eating bacon is forbidden. Things are a little bit more complicated than “read your Bible.” The Bible is a collection of historical records of the early Church. It is one of the sources our faith, but it is not the only one. Taking it literally is theologically lazy at best, and dangerous at worst.

Wonderful analogy.
Thank you so much, Bishop Curry. Your words hit very near to so much grief that we all carry these days of a nation lost to extremism and partisanism and hatred. We are blessed to have you as our presiding bishop.

Bishop Curry has such a way with God's word, that everyone should listen to this, over and over again! To use a word in his opening, "Imagine" what this world could be if we all just began our journey of The Way of Love?
So much true I met him as a teenager at our church in south park Ave buffalo NY 😃 he said to me that one day I going to for being a bishop in the Episcopal Church and look where he is I was young then and he did his completion of work becoming a bishop of the Episcopal diocese
Thank you for your leadership
Unbiblical theology
Nope, this aint it
Amen to that. The whole point of the parable was against self-righteousness based on works. That's exactly what this is. This is not the message of the gospel.
@@dnzswithwombats No it wasn't lol. This parable was a blatant discussion on the New Covenant to replace the Old.
Truly, passionately, lovingly prophetic! New life Springs forth again "between the cracks" for the formerly "frozen chosen". Thanks be to God!
Excellent!!!!
💜💜💜
Thank you for your words! May we feel God’s guidance and respond.
Spot on !
God bless Bishop Sutton and the Diocese of Maryland!
Amen
Amen! The vicar of the church I just started attending is away at the Convention, so I listened to this instead. Praise be to God! (And that is not my usual way of speech.)
Jesus=love
Thank you so much for saying, always, what I need to hear, Bishop. Love to you.
This is wonderful.
John 13:34 is the central point of the Gospel. Mandatum Novum. The New Commandment. It is what the Incarnate Word that came into the world and dwelt among us in the person of Jesus of Nazareth was sent to tell us. When we all obey this one command it will bring about the Kingdom of God. Love one another. It's the most important thing you can do.
God Bless, Michael! ANd thanks.
Lets make this video go virial .
please keep up the good work
wonderful message the Episcopal church is a light into this dark world.
Ukrainians are some of the most talented artists I've ever seen. They are notorious for their beautiful iconography. Thank you Bishop Curry. Your love for God and neighbor is what drew me into the Episcopal tradition. Loving, Liberating, Life-Giving is the opposite of by Baptist upbringing. You guys incarnate this love better than anyone in my opinion.
lol embracing denial. Why would anyone join the episcopal church? The cannibalism rituals? Its average age is like 73 and its 95% white...your church is dying and thats a great thing
