Someone should go to the island of Samar or the Waray portion of Leyte and look for old people who know how to execute the dance with the male dancer chasing the female dancer, extemporizes the dance steps, sometimes going down on his knees begging for the damsel’s attention, until she capitulates! It is the most beautiful courtship dance I have ever seen.
My PE teacher told me to write down the steps for this Filipino folk dance.. I wrote it down but it was very complicated.. but now I memorize all the steps 0-0.. and yes this was for PE.

We use this step, when I was grade 4. This Balitaw is a folk dance from Cebu and there is another one from Bikol
