Griso 1100 Beetle map before and after
มุมมอง 1.7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
A before and after video of my 1100 Griso with a Beetle map (see www.grisoghetto.com) Before applying the map I: Full fluids change Set the valve clearances correctly performed a Throttle body balance As you can see from this very short clip, the map has made a big difference to the rideability of the bike, it spins up better and pulls better and has made a bike that I have been really enjoying...

Lovely video of the roads I would often travel. I live in Canada now. The trees are bigger but I miss these roads.
Hi, did you do the remap yourself or someone else?
Thanks Mike, a great reminder of a wonderful day.🙂
My grandfather had one of those and then my dad drove it for a while. I remember sitting on it as a pillion when I was a child and my teeth rattled every time my dad accelerated... It has been sitting in a barn for the last 15 years or so and I dream of restoring and riding it some day. I have a Guzzi of my own (V7). I simply love those Motorcycles. Cheers from Germany.
Very, very cool !
I recently sold mine, fuel tank ridicously small and only a five speed, which in the end was positively annoying. Great bike, fix those two issues and it would be brilliant.
5 speed ??? Mine had 6
@@LemonDrizzleGang 5 speed, never manufactured with a six speed box as far as I am aware, well at least in Australia we did not see a model with six speed gear box, although the Stelvio had six speeds I believe.
@@julietharty1965 hmmm maybe my memory is on the blink I have ridden too many bikes since the Griso 👍
@@LemonDrizzleGang Ha ha, how is the weather over there at present, I am heading over August 21 to collect my bike and wander around Europe.
I have the opportunity to add a 1976 850 T3 California to my collection. Thank you for the video!
This bought back many happy memories of the 1980's when I had the pleasure to own a Mk1 Spada also a Mk1 Le Mans and a Mk1 Caliornia. Identical to this one over a period of 8 years.
fantastic, i was right there with you, loved your enthusiasm, reminds me of the first time i rode an lc4 smc, as you described, made speed easy, made me feel like i was a motorcycle god like Rossi, as i left the dealer for a test ride it started to lash down with rain, but it gripped brilliantly wet or dry and as i turn right out of the first roundabout after thee dealer the front wheel came up as i was still cranked over and it felt amazing!! so i can imagine the lc8 is just even more of the same, and now i want one of these too!
👍👍🇮🇹
what a nice sound !
IT'S GOOTZEE! not guzzie lol
We know and discuss it in our Cali video
Pure class sounds so sweet well done to the mechanic
What a beautiful machine
Lovely
wow! she sounds lovely!
Love that sound. Now I want an old Norton. Lol
First virtual ride on a vintage rocket 3. What a treat.
You might like the classic bike channel we created and we have done a proper test on this bike and many others th-cam.com/video/u3wUnv53QdI/w-d-xo.html
I like it👍
I'm 66 and bought one of these in 78, sold it a year later to buy a plane ticket to America from the UK, hitchhiker around for six months , came back and bought a t3 , probably my favorite bike ever, rode thousands of miles 2 up on that one.ARA302T if anyone's got it, then had a le man's 2 and one of my most memorable rides was on the way back from the bol dor bike race in the south of France, racing to catch a ferry , got on the mad rue de periphique around Paris, 10pm at night, all my lights had failed about20 miles before, sticking to the tail light of the Duke in front , going through tunnels and reving the nuts off to hear the lancanfronis wailing...Great fecking memories...this videos got me looking on the Internet for another, cheers.
Are you kidding ? Not one shot of the bike ? Big thumbs down !!!
Seeing as how It is Christmas maybe you can do a BIG THUMBs UP for this video where I do a complete review of the bike where we have not just one but lots of shots of the bike th-cam.com/video/u3wUnv53QdI/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LemonDrizzleGang P
I seriously wouldn't mind having that in my shed to take out on special occasions. What a beauty.
Doesn't even sound like British bike , if that's good or bad wouldn't like to say nice or want
Often change gear on my Triumph thinking its the brake.
Not sure that mirror is doing much for you ............
Nice ride, see you've mastered that indicator switch, unlike me
Nice bike I have a 750 commando lately I’ve realised the the lasses like a Norton ! The old lasses 😆
Beautiful sounding bike. Incomparable Norton
Hello from West Wales. Can you tell me if it's true that the first mk1's came with higher 10 to 1 compression pistons than the 8.5's on mk2 A's ? I recall a local motorbike dealer being totally exasperated at the mk 1's which had been returned to his shop under warranty for failed main bearings. This was pre Superblends, of course, but I've been wondering for years if the alleged aforementioned pistons were a contributing factor, if indeed they weren't mere fiction. I know that 750 pistons were around 9 to 1 and also recall a very early road test of a a mk1 850 that topped 125mph, whereas the subsequent mk2 managed a lesser 115. We won't go into possible gearing as well !
Buy you also an old one 👍

I rode a ‘66 Lightning for 10 years. Well, OK, I OWNED a ‘66 Lightning for 10 years. I rode it about five years. BSA= Bastard Stopped Again!
My dad used to say Bloody Sore Arse
What an absolutely lovely sound. Gee.
Thanks for watching we have done a full review of the bike here th-cam.com/video/u3wUnv53QdI/w-d-xo.html
Yes it is true the speedo usually has 5-10 mph higher than your real speed on old bikes. This was a trick to make rider think they were going faster than they really were.
I had a 1000cc Spada a long time back, nice but agricultural, it seems to me that the 850cc engine is the nicer one.
I guess the guy on the TT got bored with the sloooooowwww pace 😂
It was a group ride not a race Two of us are ex racers but we are experienced enough to ride in a group at a speed all are comfy with Thanks for your comment
After seeing you video I figured I'd better get my 1100 remapped. I did find a map file sent to me from guzzidiag for an 1100 Griso but I was a bit hesitant to use it. I think I have the cable somewhere from when I did my V11.
Nice area, just where is it?
Ah Bettws Y Coed! Wales, Gods country (and mine!)
Cerrig - Betwys on the A5
sounds well, norton i mean.
Who is this riding God
Hmm I sound a bit out of breath :-)
Fine video!
Thank you
Many four cylinder bikes long before Ariel made one. The Ariel is certainly the smoothest of the bunch.
The Henderson to name but one
Hi, do you have stock exhaust and air filter? Thank you for comparing the bike before and after, I have the same bike and I’m curious about this map.
Stock air filter with snorkel removed Termignoni with db killer in place
Note this is the 1100 the maps for the 1200 are specific to the pipe Mark (Beetle) has done a lot of work on the 1200 maps
I just wanted to see a side piccy of her Rocket..
