Cooker wala pulao ekdum khila khila bana🥰
Here's a simple recipe to make pulao in a pressure cooker:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup basmati rice (washed and soaked for 30 minutes)
- 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
- 1 bay leaf
- 1-inch cinnamon stick
- 2-3 cloves
- 1-2 green cardamom
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 3-4 medium onion (thinly sliced)
- 1-2 green chilies (slit)
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1/2 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, beans, etc.)(optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 2 cups water
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat the pressure cooker: Add ghee or oil. Once it's hot, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, and cardamom. Sauté for a few seconds until fragrant.
2. Add onions and green chilies: Sauté the onions until they turn golden brown.
3. Add ginger paste: Cook for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
4. Add vegetables: Stir in the mixed vegetables and cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add rice: Drain the soaked rice and add it to the cooker. Gently stir to mix everything.
6. Spices: Add turmeric, garam masala, and salt. Stir for another minute.
7. Water: Add 2 cups of water. Stir and check for seasoning. You can add more salt if needed.
8. Pressure cook: Close the lid and cook on medium heat for 1 whistle. Turn off the heat after the first whistle and let the pressure release naturally.
9. Fluff and serve: Once the pressure has released, gently fluff the pulao with a fork. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
