เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 18 ส.ค. 2017
Welcome to Craftmanship with Ash! Are you the type of person that has seen something and thinks to yourself, I could make that? Well you might be just like me, since an early age I have always created all sorts of things. So, you might be asking yourself, what is this channel all about. Well I have been working with leather for over 25 years and when I started there was not much information out there to help me, I am here to help the beginning leather working learn from my mistakes. I am going to show the tools, tips, and techniques that I use when creating projects.
If anything, I have said interests you, heck even if it does not. Hit that Subscribe button and turn on notifications, so you do not miss anything I post.

Scrap Leather EP 3 - VLOG Belt Scraps
มุมมอง 5233 ปีที่แล้ว
Hello all my fellow leather crafters in this episode, I want to take the time to talk about what to do with the small pieces of leather that are left over after cutting custom belts to length. There are a couple of things that these can be used for. 1. You can make samples for future customers 2. Record the time it takes you stamp or stitch a given length of belt. This can help you understand w...

I recently purchase this same machine, can you tell me where I might find a manual, thanks
I’m new never have even attempted to make one,but now I am going to try it thanks for sharing 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Very good instructions. One comment! Make sure that you leave the fold over belt loop on the correct side of the sheath. You may be left handed, and I have a number of left handed sheaths, I made by ACCIDENT. Most will want a right handed sheath to wear on the right side of your body. I happen to be left and right handed. I wear a knife on the right side. I noticed that it appeared you made a left hand sheath. Once you cut the leather the fold over is set. Mark on your pattern which side to place the fold over when you cut the leather. I hope this saves a few sheaths that are just good for practice LOL. I hope to see more of your videos.
Awesome
I'm just about to start my first sheath. This was clear and concise. And very helpful!
Very good instruction!
Love it. Do you have a part 2?
An older video, i found. Good vid, for me starting out!! I have seen the Ohio hardware, on Weavers site, but have not used any. Ill have to chek it out now.. Thanks
Happy the video helped you
Very nice thank you
Yes definitely part 2
Will there be a video of you making the shotgun chaps coming?
I have been MIA for awhile, I am currently working on setting up a new workshop, with a better table. It will probably be a couple of months before I have it remodeled. Then I will start making some videos again
Would love to se the chap making series.
What was wrong with the belt you were working on that you had to swap it to another at the 5:50 mark?
I would love to see a series on building chaps. I've made a couple pairs of chaps and they turned out pretty good but making them gives me huge amounts of anxiety
I like it.I had my somebody tried to make a custom sheet for me.And it's already been eight months and I still have my knife running. I'm gonna try to make it myself.
Thank you!
I haven't been able to find any suitable instructions on how to make shotgun chaps despite the ordinary style from the Springfield Leather account. So I would really appreciate if you would upload a video showing your process.
I would love to see you build a pair of chaps
Thank you!!
Is there a right and left chap zipper? I'm making a pair and on one leg the zipper pull ends up on the fringe side, and on the other the zipper pull ends up on the opposite side.
Can't wait the series of building a pair of chaps!
What size thread?
Love to speak to you about your saddle stitcher.
Just what I need to make a sheath for my BK 16. Thanks
Yes please do the video
Could you make a video on how to thread and adjust tension? 😊
I have been making knife sheaths for about 4 years now. That is by for the best and easiest way to make one I have seen. Thank you for sharing how to do that.

Hey man could you send a picture of how you thread that. Did ya manage to find new feed dogs?/if so where? Also I have heard you could get a rolling foot? Thoughts on that?
Thanks for posting your learning process.
You are welcome
It's so unfortunate that the sound is so bad. I'm Sorry.
Thank you for the feedback. This is one of my first videos. It has been a learning process on how to edit and add sound
Thank you for sharing this easy to follow video of making a sheath pattern, I would love to see part 2 on how to finish it.
The title claims this is the 'best' tool to dye leather edges, what other tools edge dying tools were compared to this one? What makes this tool better than other similar products?

Go Pokes! Are you in Oklahoma?
I do not live in Oklahoma now, however OSU is where I went to school. I worked in a Saddle Shop in Pawnee OK while I was there in late 90's
That's a great school job! Tough commute though. Class of '81, here. I moved away for 21 years and moved back to Edmond about 13 years ago. Enjoy going back to Stillwater for games. Great to meet another Cowboy 🤠!
