Exploring a Store the King has Visited and Loch Ness
We explore a store that the king has visited. During the time he was Prince Charles but it's still pretty awesome! If you're ever in Beauly, check out Campbells of Beauly. They have real nice quality clothing. We also explore Loch Ness. We had an absolute blast! Also, a special thank you to all the new viewers and subscribers! #scotland #travel #explore #travelvlog #history #ilovescotland #water #king #nature #ancient #trees #traveling #festival

Sneaking into a Castle and finding a Wrecked Ship

Sneaking into Invergarry Castle. This used to be a house of the Macdonalds. The ship that we find is called Eala Bhan, which is Gaelic for White Swan. This was one of my favorite videos. Actually Hollywood has made Many movies about the Jacobite rebellion, one notable one with Liam Nesson playing the Title Tole of a real person on the Scottish side. The name is Rob Roy, loosely based on the life of Rob Roy MacGregor 1995 film, very good. Has other notable actors in the cast.
Nice! The Scottish Stewart guy is my ancestor. Thanks for the tour. I've never been there.
@@berklia That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing!🙂
The 1745 Jacobite Rebellion was the second one involving Bonnie Prince Charlie, it was preceded by the first Jacobite Rebellion in 1715 which involved his father James Edward Stuart. Together they were derogatorily known as Old Pretender and Young Pretender. They're very interested events.

Just com to Omaha, so that you can visit our zoo, museums and more and do walks through.

GO TO CULLODEN and learn about Highland history and what the British government did to the people here.

It’s a fascinating place!
@@robertthebruce-geniusofban647 I agree!🙂
❤😮😢😊❤ 1.Here we can all see what happens when religious extremists are in power, so look out USA and see what happens when Christians or Muslims groups are telling us what right or wrong 😮 2. When you coming to a new place, just search (Google) it and you will be surprised how much information you can get 😊 just like you did, but you should dig deeper into it. 😊
Thanks for the fun explore. Its fastinating to see these old structures in person. And of course Scotland is beautiful. Too bad the owners of the boat weren't around, would have been great if they took you for a spin. 👍👍👍
@@marinamartinez6886 You’re welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed it! Yes I agree! It would have been fun to go on a boat ride!🙂
Beautiful!! ❤ from 🇨🇦
The religious turmoil of that time, saw the destruction of any building or property owned by Catholics, Scotland had some of the best abbey's and churches anywhere in Europe. Now only ruins. The country went through a very traumatic time. Few other countries suffered worse than Scotland from the so called "Reformation", so sad they could destroy their heritage in the name of hate.
When did the Catholics get a hold in Scotland?
Good effort but its pronounced "Jack 'o' bite" 😊 just saying 👍
My wife's ancestry is of the Stewart clan

I love how there is a wire fence, with a giant hole in the bottom, so just watch your head as you keep walking ! Can't keep people out - if there's a fence there must be something interesting you are trying to keep from us ! Very comical watching the whole world investigating what you are trying to keep protected ! It happens everywhere !
The beams are bracing holding the walls together
Great video Thankyou 😊❤❤

"...but it sank into the swamp. So I built another one, and THAT sank into the swamp. The next one burned down, fell over, and THEN sank into the swamp; but the fourth one STAYED UP!"
Nice holy grail reference 😏👍
Che meraviglia 💯👌👍☘️
we went to one smilar to this but it ws more complete . hada small covered stone tunnel maybe 18inches 2ft wide high.. smacked head on way out from middle... anyone know which one that was ?
There is a castle in Runcorn with a lot of history it was a hill top fort I believe a Roman palisade also the stone castle was built in 1066 or 67 I think and was destroyed in the English civil war due to a gunpowder explosion as it was made there I may be getting stuff wrong can’t remember
Yes your getting it well wrong it’s not in Runcorn it’s in Afghanistan.
@@mickeycrilly1839 and @davidrobinson6353 That’s really interesting!🙂

i think your "train bridge" is a Roman aquaduct, but i don't think the Romans got that far into Scotland. Worth researching.

*_Here's the story about that ship......_* It started from an English port, Aboard that tiny ship. The mate was a mighty sailing man, The skipper brave and sure. Five passengers set sail that day For a three hour tour, a three hour tour. The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted Irish shore With Gilligan The Skipper too, A millionaire and his wife, A movie star A Professor and Mary Ann, Here on the Irish shore!
Those beams are holding the walls apart. The mortar is cooked from the fire and this is a super-dangerous site as a result.

With respect. In Britain we say Jackobite not Jaycobite. Beautiful ruins. I hope you enjoy your stay.
@@sonsoffalstaff2600 Thank you! I appreciate your help! We did, we had a great time!🙂
Does the term Jackobite come from trying to substitute the English king with a different one, like Jacob substituted Esau and got his blessing?
@@ozarksbrotherjerry4297 Jacobite comes from the Latin Jacobus meaning James. Jacobites are supporters of James.
