I personally loved onyx storm and rated it a 5 star but I love seeing other peoples opinions and reactions, I think it felt like different writing from RY but I really enjoyed the more political approach but I also this was a filler, political, world building book ready for the next 2 books to come so I can defo see why people didn’t love it too ❤

i’m also trying to step out of my comfort zone this year wonder how that’s going to go 😅 read 47 books last year so setting my goal for 50 too!

my reading goals for this year are to utilise my kindle more, not buy as many books and start reading in other genres 🥰🥰

If you want to branch out into really great sci-fi (this isn't dry like Dune or old like Asimov) I'd recommend Becky Chambers and her Wayfarers book series, Tamsyn Muir and her Locked Tomb series, and Redshirts by John Scalzi - which is kind of a Star Trek parody.

For sci-fi I recommend Foe by Iain Reid, for some reason that book has really stayed with me. I just finished Frankie by Graham Norton recently, it was such a nice read. I’d consider it general fiction but I could be wrong 😂

I started the year reading Anxious People by Fredrik Backman and I LOVED it. He is incredibly talented.

I can´t wai to watch what you read this year; I also what to exlpore different genres out of my comofort zone, as I know there may so many books I will love out there that might initially be intimidataing as they´re different than what I normally reach for. Did that sentence even make sense hahah?

I only really read romance/fantasy books as they are my comfort genres however, after watching this and hearing more about books outside of my comfort zone I’m definitely going to branch out more💕
