Salford born and raised, i used to go cannoe on the docks with school in the 90s. I also use to go for a drink and a smoke on the quays. The quays in the 90s was grim. But now, you have footballers and even my daughter living on the quays. Took a long time but the area looks beautiful now. Ive always been curious on the Salford/Manchester dynamic. 2 separate cities but not separate cities. Although, youll never hear me saying im a manc. Im Salford, says so on my passport.

When you were looking though the gates of monk bar , that hill ( the mount ) you go down there , into a street , you will find my house 🏡

The walls were never fully rounded as the foss island road area was marsh ponds for the kings fish so did not need any walls and at the Ouse they also ended the wall and the old st Mary’s Abby wall was in the way the other way
