You mean ..you don't fill it to the top with charcoal?
1 piece of paper towel and a small squirt of rubbing alcohol is all you need to get it started perfectly every single time. I don't mess with crumpling up handfuls of newspaper anymore and having lit embers blowing around everywhere on a breezy day.

Problem with this tutorial is you have to have access to a newspaper.
I like the news paper method I always buy fire starters and that’s expensive over time

What is the point of a washer like that extra white circle that went under the toilet to tighten. I think that’s what a washer is LOL but what is the point of those. Not just here but in general
Hi! From what I read, "Washers help to ensure that the bolts and screws fit snugly. By threading the fastener through the washer before installation, you ensure that the fastener doesn’t go too deeply into the surface material."
You complain that you can taste Lighter Fluid, even though Kingsford and other brands are flavorless and odorless, yet you burn printer ink from newspapers and you don’t taste that 😂

You don't understand I think The fact that everything depends of the news on the paper. If she like the news then the smoke it's good. If it was about Biden then obviously you can throw the barbecue...

Me too. I was also like oh hell nah I didn’t get any hardware OR instructions!!! I had to fish my cardboard out of the garbage to find hardware stuck in that top part
I have done that many times. I spent too long trying to put my cars windshield wipers in the other day.😅 It was simple once I figured it out.

If used properly, lighter fluid does not leave a taste in your food. 😀
The money saved by not having to buy lighter fluid all of the time is worth it by itself.
If used properly, you should never need lighter fluid to start your charcoal.

Good food takes time. I prefer to wait for this kind of flavor rather than gas/lighter fluid

@@KeepinItChill I finally got it to work in 20 minutes, I sat it on top of a fire ring grill, it must have gotten additional air from the bottom, worked great

Paint your chimeney with cooking oil before you use it. It will make the rust go away. It also works with your car/bike exahust pipe.
Do you then have to oil it often ( like before each use ) or just once when you first buy it ?

@@toymachine2328you may need to do a couple layers but the heat will polymerize the oil and will only be removed with degreaser and Brillo pad

You can still use charcoal to smoke meats, but nothing beats those huge wood logs
