There not 1/2 turns you doing....and it’s a myth you have to go clockwise in tensioning up the head... I go around the drum and never have any problem getting it seated and sounding good...but I must say you’re snare sounds good...

I spend way to much time watching videos about how to become a better drummer rather than actually practicing to become a better drummer.
@@lobbyrobby drumming is a visual instrument. You gotta have both. Watching and doing is just as effective as listening and writing down on the instrument what to do. Both are needed! I lean more towards play more than what you watch but I constantly watch other drummers play to see what to do and not to do! LOL
I knew learning the drums would be difficult but I underestimated how much time and practice it takes! I'm about 1 year in and now I realize how much I don't know and how much more difficult it's going to be. It's definitely a long journey. Anyway for the past several months I've been working on my foot speed and technique. Let's use the drum beat from Radiohead-Creep. I'm getting way better getting those doubles in but it's almost like I'm so nervous about doing it, I'm actually hurting my bottom of my foot if I practice for a long period. I must be kicking to hard. Any tips to just relax more on the pedal?
@@lobbyrobby I feel you bro!! It’s a constant battle of the mind to push yourself!!! Keep going man it maybe a long journey but it’s a fun one!!
@@lobbyrobby so the idea with using that technique is like a heel toe pattern. Now a lot of people tell me the same thing it hurts when they do that because of the motion. The reality is that you gotta start thinking about the pedal board like a stick and all you really have to focus on is bouncing that pedal board in rhythm and tempo! Jojo Mayer has a great video on it! But don’t hit it hard! Try to control the rebound and make it bounce if the back of your heel rather than hitting it with the back of your heel if that makes sense!
Why did you make this assertion in such a confusing way? The drum and Cymbal Kit, better known as Trap drums is 100. Otherwise, individual drums are the second oldest instrument in the world, only the bone flute has recently been found to be older.
I said Drum kit. Not drums in general. But the drum kit as a whole is 100 years old. So what are you trying to say?
get past the first 90 days. Everything seems impossible the first 3 months. But that 3-6 month is where you’ll start noticing the improvement
This is facts!!!
I've been learning for almost 1 year now. That first month was really fun for me. Just learning how to play simple beats and fills. The next few months were more about learning different techniques (left foot, ghost notes, bass drum placement, etc). Then once I could kinda hold together a decent beat and some fills I quit learning and just started jamming out lol. I haven't had much time to practice lately but I'm at the stage now where I can see learning the drums is just about a lifelong commitment. I don't know how far I'll get but either way I'm glad I did this. It's much better than sitting on my ass playing video games and napping when I have free time.

What about if you play it with a foot tambourine? How does that work?
Hi @josevich same as a hi hat! You can use it to keep time or be an independent pattern! Latin Percussion makes some solid options for strap on tambourine and kick stand for it as well! When I play it I usually just play it on the the 2&4 or 16th constantly to create a consistent pattern but the options are endless!

Looks like you physically can't do spring-less training with this, which is a bummer and large omission. The form-factor is smart. The price isn't. It is probably 15dollars worth of bent metal. The beaters are a hard-coded requirement and thus also a turn-off for me. If it was 30 bucks, sure, I'd buy 3. 90 bucks? I buy zero.
