Twenty-plus years ago, I talked some pals into helping me with a project. "Blair Witch" had just come out and convinced all of us we could make an amazing movie with just one handheld camera and a cool location. I've since learned that it takes a lot more than that. But I still think are bits of fun sprinkled about here in this "Blair Witch" meets "Scream" experiment.
Sure -- it's 2 hours, and should probably be maybe 45 minutes...
Sure -- you shouldn't have the leads play it as complete jerkwads and eliminate any likeability for your characters...
Sure -- one should actually utilize lights and microphones on set...
Sure -- improv only takes you so far...
Sure -- you should...

I can't say I'm particularly proud of this project which came a little too early in my life, but I AM proud of the journey I was able to bring my friends on while making it. And that's why I dug up & saved this VHS-copy-of-a-VHS. This is for the folks involved that went on a very spectacular adventure with me over the summer of.... 99? 2000? I look back at this time in my life with an immense fondness and nostalgia. We had a real magic at that time that I don't think I'll ever experience ever again. Every time we drove up to "Sycamore Acres" my heart would start pumping. I hope everyone else had as much fun as I did.
