odd question-- as a young professional Latino family is Huntersville a good area? We want to move from Long Island NY but im afraid of moving somewhere where Hispanics are not seen very often and I don't want to have no neighbor calling the cops on me lol

Known cancer cluster in The Morrisville area. Head and neck cancers from drinking contaminated well water from the coal plant run off. Water supply contaminated. Dont move there, infrastructure can not handle the amazing amount of people who have moved there in the last 5 to 7 years. Major road 150 is a traffic nightmare. Sewer treatment cant handle anymore people moving there. Taxes used to be doable, but they are steadily increasing. Schools are so overcrowded. Taxes have increased in order to catch up on all the things needed to sustain the growth....it is a beautiful area, doubt. I moved from Michigan to Denver, NC 7 years ago, left after 4 years down there due to afore reasons.

Its never just 15mins away...the traffic around the whole lake is unbearable. It should be 15 mins. But the area is so over populated it can take an hour to go 6 miles. And dont trust the septic systems and well water. The lake has a coal driven steam plant on the southwest side that produces a carcinogenic waste that they bury underground. This waste has seeped into the wells water of many people especially in the Mooresville area. There is a major cancer cluster there. Head and neck cancers...family members of mine developed oral cancer and thyroid cancer in the 5 years they lived there. Children are just ad suseptible, if not more. These money hungry realtors fail to mention any of the health risks associated with that Lake. My family members never smoked or drank Head and neck cancers can be directly caused by drinking highly contaminated well water over a small amount of time Do your research before buying a place that can cut your life short. When you go to the public boat launches and read what fish are posted as health threats and not to consume them, you know the lake is not a healthy eco system. The crazy boat traffic contributes to this in a substantial way..... what ever happened to a small cottage on a lake and a row boat,? When is enough, enough? Miilion dollar mansions with zero lot lines ...covering the shoreline Lake Norman will suffer from lake shore extreme excess driven by the almighty dollar

Don’t move here. The growth is out of control. Traffic is terrible. Traffic on 150 is Hell. Infrastructure ( water & sewer ) can’t keep up. If you move here don’t turn it into the craphole you just left.

All I can say for all of you thinking about moving to North Carolina welcome and don’t turn our red state blue. It has already gotten bad enough as it is with a bunch of liberal Democrats moving from up north to our beautiful North Carolina don’t California my Carolina if you vote that way stay where you are live in the miss you created other than that, if you accept our culture and our way you’re welcome

Also- the lake is super warm. Not that odd if you’re from the south- but if you’re going from the north or the west, the water isn’t cold. There are cold spots, but as it is a lake that is used for the nuclear power and coal plants - the water is usually oddly warm

The traffic is absolutely horrendous. I dread having to go to mooresville.

How is the crime in Mooresville? My family is moving to NC and safety is probably our biggest factor - coming from Northern NH, one of the safest places to be.
