September 2014 This is a total of 7 Whitetail deer in the back yard. And 4 of them are fawns. Each of the two mothers had twins. And the 7th deer is a yearling that belongs to one of the mothers. These two families are in the yard at least once a day, if not more.

I was making a video of some playful squirrels on my front porch. I then move the camera over to see a female Whitetail deer in the yard.

September 2014 We were filming a Whitetail mother deer and one of her twins at the trough. The other mother's twin stayed behind and joined the mother and her twin. The other twins from both families were in the woods, along with a yearling that belonged with one of the mothers. They all began to chase each other up in the woods, possibly starting a fight, but we couldn't see it from the window...

We have two families of Whitetail deer who come here every day. Each mother has a set of twins. And one of the mothers has a yearling with her...so it's the 4 of them that travel together in that one family.

September 30, 2014 And this is how Elvis the Peacock sounds since he molted at the beginning of August. His tail feathers are gone, along with a lot of other feathers, and his voice is so different. September 30, 2014 I miss hearing our peacock Elvis screaming. During mating season it's incredible. We really enjoy hearing him. But now he's molting and he can't make a scream like this. He has lost all his tail feathers, but we can see new ones coming out. Molting changes everything....they lose their tail feathers and even their screaming is different. He's mostly quiet these days, but will...

Every night our peacock Elvis goes to the roof of our house to sleep. But about 2 hours before that he goes around the yard to eat lots of bugs, lots of blades of grass, some biscuits I toss out for him, mini marshmallows, and grains from his little trough. He knows he needs a full belly because he'll be on that roof all night till around 7:00 the next morning. After he is full of food he jumps...

Elvis our Peacock. He loves to follow my husband on the lawnmower and eat all the bugs that are flying up. He also follows the weed-eater, but I don't have a video of that yet. If Elvis wanders off into the woods and we want him to come on home all we have to do is start up the lawnmower and he comes home in a hurry. At the moment Elvis is 'molting'.
