Grew up in Serbia in the 1980's with 128 and 132 Mirafiori 2500. Always love seeing these era Fiats. Wish I could have one in this ignorant arrogant America.

What is it supposed to be? Is it an independent concept, a tribute, a reimagining, or a homage to something else? I don't recognize an organic antecedent or precedent, though it seems to have taken design cues from not one, but several disparate and unrelated vehicles. Does it have a drive train?
This is one of the Italian versions of American Cars from the time period. This one specifically from a third generation Corvette. Likely 68, or 69. This can also be seen on the Ford Thunderbird third Generation, “Bullet Bird” look up the Italia version. One of if not the MOST beautiful car made. Hope this helps.
Lovely example of the P6B 3500S with I assume an LT77 gearbox? No need though to 'slam' the drivers door in the film. These cars had an almost soft-touch approach when closing a door. Try it - its like gently closing a door on a bank vault, your greeted with a satisfying CLUNK as it closes. One of the hall marks of the engineering of the P6 - same with closing the boot - a gentle close then 'click' as the catch engages. Mind you most people these days on any car will do the opposite... SLAM! Times have changed - Rovers last engineered car in many ways. Happy New Year.
My dad was a manager with BL and got a brand new one of these in 1973 - NVD 922L. In this colour - Monza Red with the webasto roof and Denovo tyres. It was an innovation as it came with DeDion suspension. The only thing different on the model in the clip, it has P5B wheels.....the P6 3500S came with similar style metal wheel trims. It was all the things like a reserve petrol tank, map lights on the dash and under the headrests. Boot mounted spare wheel, Even a glove box under the steering wheel.......This was when Rover was a car. The V8 Buick engine is still my favourite sound after all these years.
Hi 'Ken' - I have a 1974 3500S in Lunar Grey ordered directly from the factory under the export delivery scheme by the first owner. He was an Australian living and working in UK at the time. He ticked a lot of the options box but not the sunroof, but it came with rear headrests (rare) and numerous other items. He returned to Oz with the Rover in 1976, he kept it in Victoria till 1985 before selling it to a farmer in the same state who kept it for 31 years! He then sold it in 2016 to an enthusiast in Sydney who had it till 2018 before suddenly passing away. I bought the car from the family estate in 2019 - its terrific, totally original and running on P5B 15 inch rostyles fitted by the last owner. It has a black leather interior. It's my 7th P6B having owned them in UK and here - I lived/worked in UK between 1988-2010, my parents were £10 pound Poms in 1950, so I had access to a Brit passport back then. It was great to spend time with family I'd never met and indulge with old Brit cars ie Rovers, MG, Riley, Triumph etc. All the best.
I also owned one. Beautiful engine, very well balanced chassis. A car designed and built in a time when engineers built cars to be the best possible, not the cheapest possible. Lancia - before being bought over by Fiat - was right up there with BMW and Mercedes. It's why they failed. Too expensive. Mine was RAF blue and had a Webasto canvas roof - Bosch electronic injection - 16 valves - a dog legged 5 speed manual - Full Connolly leather seats - and it went like the wind. First owner was a Bank manager. The car was quiet and efficient and built to be driven hard. 140 HP for a car that size in those days was more than enough with low gearing and the pedals so well spread so heel and toes was easy. Very well built. Front chassis supporting the flat 4 water cooled engine would come straight out including the drive train and gearbox. So efficient and easy to work on. I was stopped by a garagist who hounded me until I sold it to him. I regret that car very much but I'm glad to see it went to another enthusiast who has a whole collection of Lancia's and other Italian cars of the same era. They never really had time to give it a proper name because as soon as they were bought over by Fiat in 74, production of all Lancia's was stopped and they brought out the "Beta" line up. Another good design (by Fiat this time) but badged Lancia and so poorly put together. I had one also. It also drove very well, but just fell to bits overnight while parked. Fiat ........
Why is it a 3,4 not a 3,8 ?
Un vero gioiello
Maybe 10? 3+3+2+2

Questa è una bellissima 1750 seconda serie. Della versione 2000 non c'è traccia sia all'esterno che interno.
