Unfortunately, it has been so warm of late that if I get off the driveway gravel with the tractor I leave big ruts. I just want winters like when I was a kid again.

Every November II do stand the panels up to their winter position to increase the sun's direct impact on them. In the summer I lay them down to maximize the summer suns angle. Standing them up in the winter actually increases efficiency. Thanks!

Yes it is true that the solar doesn't produce as much in the winter, however I have been living on it for 7 years. I have to run the generator every few days for a few hours, but it has proven up to the task of providing me with all the amenities short of electric heating devices like dryers and curlers. I am looking into wind as a second line of defense, but the moving parts cause me pause. Stay tuned, I am always tweaking my system in one way or another. Thanks for watching!

It was going really nice with snow, then came a thaw and plenty of rain. We are getting back to a colder, snowier winter now though.

Thank you. It is feeling much better now. The Bifacial panels are supposed to collect light reflected from the ground, I am pretty sure they do, though it is just a fraction of what they produce on the front.

Yep. It was a little damp in the cab! LOL My feet stayed dry for the most part. But it was a great weekend!

Yeah, they get put to the test, but it gets a lot more TLC than his wife's car! He says he is going to replace all the broken panels before trading it in. But after all, This is why we do this stuff! LOL
