Wonderful! I've been doing this for years, mostly with antique & vintage fabrics. Bauhaus Textiles, Welsh Quilts & of course Quilts of the Amish have alwys been my inspiration. I also love what quilters did during the depression.

Your paintings are beautiful. I am a painter living in Ireland and your work has inspired me. I am drawn to the urban environment although I don't live in a big city. Pavements is the best thing I have seen in a long while.

I love your style too. And I know teachers who would say something about it regarding what teachers teach and I really plan to like listen and do a foundation of that ....foundational stuff for figurative painting but looking forward to using that to paint more like you. Blocks of fresh color but likeness likeness likeness. What I do is try to get this....and it doesn’t quite work so go to the rest of the foundational stuff wet on wet. Then it gets boring. Ha ha I mean the results. I do try.

Your ‘Pavement’ series of art work is very pleasing to the eye. Calming. Your work reminds me a little of the paintings by the artist Lowry. Though, with a modern twist on the urban landscape, especially the lonely figure in your paintings, a prevalence in our society today. Lowry’s paintings, on the other hand, had people everywhere. He was an amazing painter & yet he led a lonely life. Such a juxtaposition. Did he inspire you at all? Congratulations on your win as Portrait Artist of The Year ✏️
