    I'm a retired icu physician who has dealt with end of life multiple times. I think that the only ethical approach is to remove your religious beliefs and to support whatever decisions the family makes (within reason of course) and to refer all religious issues to their clergy and to provide a clergy member if they don't already have one. Give medical advice but stay out religious issues.
