Hey man do you have a tab for this
Good work! You have a really good ear: several of your Jansch tunes, including this one, are closer to the originals than other TH-cam guitarists. So with that in mind could I or we persuade you to have a go at Come Back Baby? So far I've seen no one get close to it, to be honest. I've tried (search for Richard Ebbs Music on TH-cam and you'll find my attempt) but I can't help but feel that my best effort cover is still only a pale imitation of the genius of Jansch's original recording. I too used to live in Leeds by the way! :-) Keep 'em coming!
Very nice work Dariush! I seem to have forgotten this lovely tune. I must revisit Jack Orion. 1966 was a great year for guitar!
A beautiful piece of music played with a great vibe! Is that in standard tuning? Thanks.
Thanks very much! Yes it is in standard tuning.
That's a wonderful and faithful rendition of Bert's epic composition. You have captured the atmosphere and the technique perfectly. Well done on mastering such a difficult and challenging piece.
Thanks for sharing that Darius. Nice work mate!
Great!! love Bert, play "running from Home", "Needle od Death", saw Bert in Seattle 1990s keep pickin'
Man's a genius love his 🎸 playing 👏
Sounds similar to Sun King by the Beatles!
Greatest cover I’ve found on TH-cam so far! How come everyone plays it with the capo on the 3rd fret? I learned it from the record and it’s definitely the 4th.
@@Steven_Ray99 Thanks man. You’re right, the original recording is pitched at the 4th fret. I have heard rumours however that the record was sped up (which was quite common in those days apparently) so that more music could fit onto a side of vinyl, which was limited to a certain amount of minutes. This would cause the song to sound slightly higher in pitch of course. It does sound to me that this is a possibility when you listen to the recording closely. He could have been at the 3rd fret but I guess we can’t know for sure!
Beautifully played Sir 👏❤
Absolutely phenomenal playing my friend, gorgeous and fluid
Very faithful to spirit (and a lot of the detail) of the original but has a charm all its own. A gem.
Beautiful!
Seems easy enough 😂
TAB pleeeese
Tricky piece in 12/8th time
I do this in open G, no capo, and I am up much higher on the neck. But I won't challenge Dariush!
Very nice! What tuning are you in?
Thanks, I’m in drop D tuning and tuned down one half-step.
@@dariushkananimusic8049 Thank you, Dariush!
A difficult piece, great work, Dariush!
I suppose it may be possible given your level of absorbing Bert as you have featured here that at some point in the future you may also offer a cover of Skip James ? You got the goods ! Awesome cover offering here by you kind sir' ! `LIKED'
That performance that features Bert wearing those red and white striped socks really reveals Skip James's influence upon his playing style .
Great work, Darius! I can hear some monotonic base work in MJH's song.
Top job stay blessed.
Excellent
Very nice!
Excellent. One of my favorite tunes.
Please do "fools mate"
One of a kind performance of Bert Jansch's magnum opus!
Would love to see a full cover. This is one of my favourite Bert's arrangements.
Excellent - if I close my eyes your rendition is John Renbourn playing. Flawless and, like him, you make it look so easy!
Thank you!
You are on to something good here. Keep going and figure the whole song out!
awesome
sounds so good ❤
Nicely done. I think playing it slightly swung like this improves the feel at this slower tempo.
expert
outstanding m8!
what is the tuning?
Standard tuning
Great playing Dariush, anymore gigs on the way?
Thanks! Yes, I’m playing at The Green Note in London on Sunday 8th September and I’m up North on Saturday 21st September to play Otley Folk Festival. 🙂
Lovely stuff. One of my favourites of Bert.
amazing

Nice work. What tuning are you using here?
Thanks a lot! It’s just standard tuning.
Wonderful! You captured the essence of Bert & John's interplay perfectly.
Love your playing of this masterpiece by Bert!
Amazing playing! This piece is no joke. You also really nailed the twang at 1:04, one of my favorite parts of the song.
Chords please xxxxxx
Nice work. A great little tune by Herr Bert.
omg sounds just like the recording. didn't expect the tuning to be BEBEBE. how did you figure that out? i generally have a pretty good ear, but my weakest spot is figuring out alternate tunings when there's no info about them otherwise. I'd just have assumed this was CGCFCE or something
Thanks. There’s a website listing all (or most of) the tuning Nick Drake used on particular songs. It’s: nickhealy.com If you Google Nick Drake tunings the site comes up on the first page of results.
Nice!
