Fantastic first single from the new album which is coming out in February (also the title track). Love the fact that everyone is singing, even Joel (the drummer), as all of them have nice voices, just like on their album Christmas Carol. Fun fact: Chris and Petter are also singers in their own bands: Wizdoom (Chris), Mad Hatter and Morning Dwell (Petter). Thanks for another great reaction

This band always creates a great atmosphere for the story they're trying to tell. And as far as I've been able to find, the guy that writes the music looks mostly to primary sources for those stories. I'm no black metal purist, and I'd even say that I'm generally not a fan of black metal. There are some real gems that do shine through, though. Black metal is big on creating an atmosphere, and I really, really appreciate those bands that manage to create an atmosphere that I actually feel. Kanonenfieber is one, and another one that I like (but is much less active) is Minenwerfer.

The song is not about the soldiers carrying home Carolus Rex's body. home It's the story of the army led by Armfeldt that was supposed to rendez vous with them from the North. They tried to retreat back over the Scandic mountains but got caught in a blizzard. The soldiers carrying the King went a completely different route and earlier in the winter season.

Over the past three years I've bought precisely two albums, both by this band. Says it all, really. My favourite track from their new one is "Creatures of Darkness."

there are two people who impersonate (so to speak) shamans one is the guy with the horns the other is the woman dressed in white with the horns when you see someone who wears animal parts he/she is generally a shaman or a seer anyway we know female seers were very important in the ancient scandinavian culture still in the viking age. this is a reference to even a more ancient times. just a curiosity the woman head gear is a copy of one found in an archeological dig it's in a museum I think in Copenhagen (Denmark).

Hi ! You should check out Band-Maid, it's an all female japanese hardrock band but they play a lot of rock genres and metal too, every member is extremly talented. And they have a lot of fans that rush on every reaction videos they see 😂 Seriously you should see their official live video of "Hate?" you won't be disappointed. And can I get a shoutout if you check them out ? Oh and I just remembered that the members of Band-Maid and The Warning are friends and they even had a show together in Japan too😆
