    No place like it - this is where my beagle has to earn his keep. Much drier and hotter than what we typically see. Would you still wait as long as usually recommended in wetter climes?

    Your video's are a great help and inspiration - training my beagle.

    Another inspiring video - a real pity more people aren't finding them on you tube. These are great - with your narration and explaining what's next. So many pointless videos just watching dogs plough through cover without knowing anything. To watch turns, circles and switch backs makes it real interesting. Big thanks.

    Thanks for the trouble of videoing and uploading. Was awesome watching. Those backtracks and turns were great to see. Great ideas for training my dog to a higher level.

    This was good and I appreciate it, however I couldn’t help but notice (and maybe you’re just in a hurry for the video explanation) but the way you’re cutting the excess skin of with that razor is going to damage the actual claw with scratches to some degree

    What about twigs around you if your hunting through pockets of brush and twigs, can I get away shooting through a 1 foot hole opening in twiggy brush?

    Thanks for sharing Jerry. Enjoying the natural world with quality people feeds the soul. I truly believe that. After sharing a camp with Al I found him interested in nothing but the folks around him. How we all are connected in community. He is a True Gentleman as are you. Thanks again and hopefully see you in September..

    Excellent video! I got my first bear last season. Less than 20yds on the ground with my longbow. It really sparked something inside me that I really enjoyed. Been trying to get one with my selfbow and primitive arrows this season. I've had a decent sow with 3 cubs within 20yds and a couple just barely legal ones in range too. Still trying to get a good one in range.

    Congrats on an awesome hunt! I saw a partial corner on your stand, is that a Summit Open Shot climber that you were using with the recurve? And what broadhead did you use?

    • @jerryarussell
      @jerryarussell ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Summit open shot Cant remember the broadhead. Likely a cheap amazon head that I use. $1.50 each and killers.

    How do you train a dog to avoid a snake but also bark at it from a safe distance?

  • @losethealtitude7730
    @losethealtitude7730 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    As far as shallow water (4 ft or less) I think it’s much more effective to just use Texas rigs instead of a gang rig. I think it’s just as fast as your system plus it would break up that linear shape your talking about.

    • @jerryarussell
      @jerryarussell ปีที่แล้ว

      We thought that way too many years ago. Walking to pick up 150 decoys is exhausting in that mud and takes forever.

    Wow your claws are very dark. The claws from my first black bear which I shot last year (a cinnamon bear with a bright blonde spot) are golden yellow. Kinda cool to see the variety that is possible. My bear from this year had very dark claws that were almost black.
