How can it possibly get hydrolock through the exhaust anyway? Kick it over, exhaust valves opens, water pushed out. Is it not that simple? Different if it sucks it in the intake, then it'll be hydrolocked. And how did you do that anyway through the exhaust? Turn over by hand till the exhaust valve is open?

Yeah what stop the water from going into your oil pan and turn it all silver and then melting your piston do you guys have a big snorkel on there maybe it works different I don't know I rode my little bike through deep water when I was young and I wrecked it and it was a Honda and I was sad I had to put a new piston in it but then ran like a charm again It's probably still running today 40 years later

The problem comes in when the hot piston and cylinder wall is introduced to cold water. So no, spraying water in a cold engine isn’t gonna hurt it as long as you get it out in a timely manner, meaning not leaving it in there long enough to rust or corrode. no matter what engine it is
