      Thats not bad. The thing I find challenging is when someone needs work on the lower body, and they come in wearing tight jeans. Simply, all the effort put towards a quality massage is lost to a great extent because of the unforgiving fabric.

    It’s me! Absolute agony. And I’ve been almost sedentary for 8 weeks. Because it keeps inflaming swelling crazily… takes 2/3 days… and I can’t figure what makes it swell. Barely walking and I’m crutches. So I can avoid it. And I don’t know when to start doing these exercises. 😮

      Hi! Literally my case! Barely can walk. Been going to a nice PT that knows about it and I’m doing different isometric exercises, swimming, soft stationary bike, isometric with elastic bands from hips to toes, cryotherapy, icing, taping, bracing… And 2 sessions so far of Electrolisis (eco guided) Need more sessions to see results. Shoes with a bit of drop work. Also, correcting the valgus of the feet and knee alignment. Hope it helps! Hope I see improvements soon!

      @@valerie.mccaffreyhi. So a month later yes there’s improvement on its own ( still not seen a physio 😢booked in but NHS.) what I decided to do was to use an ice pack every single day over and over about 3/4 a day. And I saw huge improvement. I didn’t realise that even weeks after the injury I can still use ice with great impact. Others have said that heat pack works really well for them but for me ice. That really helped to control the automatic swelling I would get just by being stood upright for more than ten minutes. Once swelling was under control I ca start to our weight and I really have been pushing myself to use my leg in positions that normally have pain, because I was told I couldn’t not make it worse. So I’ve been stretching and slowly putting weight and walking on it, heel to toe, nd watching these types of videos, but ice ice ice.

      @@valerie.mccaffrey hi… it has gotten a lot Better… it’s still not full extension but very close… far less painful but it’s taken a long time!! Truly think time and of course exercises like these is what helps. Wish I had known not to expect quick results. These types of Injuries take a long time. Best to prepare yourself that it will take a a good 6 months to be better. Still struggling to weight bear but more each day. My injury was from Feb ending till now.

    I notice her patella move outward. Mine moves inward. For my feet to point forward, my knees are both facing inside toward each other. For my knees to point forward my feet are pointing towards 2 and 10 on a clock. So what’s the best way to strengthen my hips or is that not the issue. I had fat pad impingement years ago. It is back

    I go to a physiotherapist for my hip bursitis. Everytime I go he gives my gluts a good working over and it's great. So what would be the benefit of having a remedial massage? Would it be cheaper going regularly to a remedial massage therapist? My physiotherapist is very expensive.

  • @EricFromPTown

    My MRI shows "Suprapatellar Fat Pad Impingement". I think it's also called quadriceps fat pad impingement. Most of my googling talks about Intrapatellar of hoffa's fat pad impingement. Is this for either type of injury?

    • @maxw5900
      @maxw5900 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not a doctor. The fat pad is only found in one place, thats below and behind the knee cap and under the patellar tendon. I suppose that if it gets very inflammed it could increase its surface area to go above the patellar (kneecap) and behind your quad tendon (supra means above), but it would have to be very inflammed. There are good pictures on google about where the fat pad is located, but there is only one fat pad on each leg. If your fat pad is that inflammed then this exercise might be too much but you can make it easier by doing a high wall sit with two legs instead of one. You should really focus on reducing the inflammation by icing it and getting rid of the scar tissue. I'd buy some small paper cups, and fill some with water and put them in the freezer. Then you'll have a little handheld ice massager that you can rub over your injury. You should also consider going to PT to try to remove the scar tissue without surgery.

    Thanks for sharing. I have question, some years ago I injured my left knee doing repetions in an incorrect way on the knee extension machine. The pain is on the inner part of the knee. I fellow the knee over toes guy program which somehow did help. I am pain free but Sometimes it hurts when going from flat ground to steps and bak to flat ground. The random pain occurs just when fully extending the knee after bending it to go through steps. It also clicks when squatting or going upstairs. I find that couch stretch for the quad helps with clearing out the pain the next day. I think perhaps a patellar tracking issue rather than jumper knee. What do you think ?
