    Very helpful video, thank you Pam! 😊 I wonder what is the drying time for these mediums and do they crack over time?

    • @artfullyausdemoreco
      @artfullyausdemoreco 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I’m so glad that they are helpful! Thank you for taking the time to comment! The drying time really depends on the thickness of what you’re creating. I have noticed that they dry pretty quickly on the surface, within a few minutes or so. The center usually takes the longest depending on the thickness a few hours to a day or so. I have been very fortunate to not have any cracking whatsoever! Both of these mediums are very good quality!

      @pmldavis287 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@rusty-y8r Hello! I think I might understand what you’re looking to do, but could you please elaborate? There is a way to create a two toned color in the piping bag itself. There is a natural seam in the piping bag. You would just need to add one color/paint on one side of the bag and a different color/paint on the other. Is that what you’re asking?

    • @rusty-y8r

      @@pmldavis287 thanks.. I am exploring applying the paint on wire to make it three dimensional stroke.. almost like flowers or petals that are supported by a wire armature. I am curious if this thick paint would sag before it solidfies. I am wondering if perhaps "painting on transparent film".. i wonder if the other side would look flat. I have ideas to make beads for necklace or earring..etc.. so I wonder about the 3d aspect to this.

Thank you so much, I find it very helpful especially if I’m looking for a specific color since the medium dries darker than what shows in the container. In my experience, they last a very long time as long as you keep it sealed well. Most of my mediums don’t last that long though. Since I use them up pretty quickly. To be honest, I haven’t been keeping great track of how long my paint is in its Tupperware container. However, I’ve had it last for months and no issues. I may have had one that was over a year that I could tell was on its way to drying out, but I tried to use them up quickly. If you’re worried about them drying out, you could always add another extra precaution by using plastic wrap first and then the lid of the container on top of that.❤

      You could definitely paint/pipe on a canvas, there are several other artists that do this style that use canvases. I started off using canvases and there were no issues. Depending on how much paint you apply and the size of the canvas it could possibly bow the canvas overtime, but I doubt it would be significant. I just prefer to use wooden panels for look and the durability. Hope this helps!
