It is not autotune he is singing live I just the film yesterday, I think parts are either the mix from when they recorded or orchestration. Also phone muffles some of parts where you can tell his is singing live, at worst there was one part where he recorded in studio (he kinda sounds like Adam Lambert here actually).

I always wanted more from Fiyeros, even what I have seen of Adam Lambert was just eh, I think Johnathan might get it right. When Fiyero sings dancing through life shouldn't he be dancing? Everything in the script is so sassy, but nobody really delivers on that.

@@jeff.fliehman I wouldn't even know where to begin with describing how they don't affect one another (just look at how various regional and international productions of countless shows are performed in local accents), but I'm speaking from my own experience as a professional musician with extensive experience in theatre. There may be specific compositions that do account for a vocalists accent, but then that piece would ONLY be performed with that accent in mind. Wicked isn't one of these pieces.

@ Wicked’s onstage orchestra is tweaked to fit the british accents of the cast since a lot of them do have accents. what im trying to say is the way the music for the movie was made jonathon bailey couldnt have sung in the accent without it sounding off-key compared to the new music. if they used a exact replica of the stage versions music the accent would work flawlessly

@jeff.fliehman Off key? Accents don't affect pitch. Vowel placement doesn't affect pitch. And I can tell you now, having been in the pit for Wicked in the west end and for the UK tours, the orchestrations don't vary to those from the Broadway production. And it isn't an onstage orchestra, that would just be in the way.
