2005 Lotus Elise running in SR2 (mid-performance RWD) class. 2nd time at Streets of Willow, ambient temperatures around 100F. The heat had me a little nervous (and mixing in a few cooldown runs just to be safe), but the Elise toughed it out just fine and the only real issue was some fuel starvation running CCW through the bowl (turn 8). Beautiful car btw!
The Prius sent it lmao
I wish my c60 shifted that smoothly.
Insane control!
Nice !!
Looked like fun mate!
Any plans to put in an LSD?
Yes, it is very much on the list. Thinking an OSGiken unit (since I loved the one I had in my NC) after brakes and a few other odds and ends.
@@t0ast_plus_plus Gonna be a monster with the upgrades lol. Any plans to get back on track? Miss hangin with you guys! I need to visit. If you ever want a run in a prepped GR86 come through Chicago
@@goWick86 That's the hope lol. Still wanting to do more track work, just not sure when I can fit another one in next yet. Definitely give us a shout if you ever find yourself out here and we'll do the same.
@@t0ast_plus_plus most def! Miss running with the old crew
Looking fast!
I’ve never driven Palomar. Is that a cattle guard at the beginning??
Yep, it has a few throughout.
I knew the lotus's were light and handled good, but got dayum! You're whipping around there so fast I don't know how you can even tell which way to go lol.
You fully loaded up the car in the corners so you pushed the car to its limit everytime. These are good runs. Good job.
What makes the ice mode engage? I've heard of that happening in some cars when trying to do left-foot braking, but systems can differ.
In Elises, changing the front/rear tire size ratio can supposedly exacerbate it, but I'm running OEM sizes, so next best guess is a sudden, big wheel speed delta at one corner due to sudden braking right after being fully loaded up accelerating and turning.
@@t0ast_plus_plus Hmm, that's interesting. I was plowing into corners at my rallyX event this weekend in my Camaro, and I'm now wondering if that's an ABS thing too. Similar situation, tire sizes are close to stock but the grip varies a lot in the dirt.
What a circuit - love doing Grip sessions at Apple valley!!
Next time you're at Lake Elsinore I would like to do a ride along. I have a 06 Mini Cooper S that I have been just starting autoX in.
Great dashcam video!
i'm a table top jenner - and i feel this... late to the party?... yeah, cooling down,,, okay, here's the edit: only jenner pilots would think of 'shoulder-check' a larger mech...
😡 ᑭяỖmo𝓼𝐦
Was this your first track event?! Either way excited to see your Elise on track.
Yep, first one. Finally worked up the courage (and the car) to get out to one of these and had a blast.
When will the sequel come out?
p̲r̲o̲m̲o̲s̲m̲
Nice run
What if on a real c5 you mod it so if the lights are off and use your brakes the headlights raise up as well? Then when you get off the brakes they retract.
Neat idea for active aero, I like it lol.
@@t0ast_plus_plus yeah a couple c5 owners I know refer to the headlights as air brakes
I feel like for my g920 I need to switch my brakes to be nearly binary.. on/off.. then somehow be able to match the throttle control you get with the controller. Your brake points are crazy late compared to what I am forced to do just to grab a 1:12 :)
also.. how did you record this and get it to youtube? Is that an option on xbox?
I feel your pain on using the brakes on a wheel+pedal setup. I've struggled on so many to configure the brake pedal to my liking.
As for the recording, I'm playing on PC and using my (Nvidia) video card's built-in recording functions, so I can basically just hit a key combination and get the last 5 minutes of gameplay. I know Xbox One can record itself to some extent, but I haven't messed with it for a long while.
Whats that red line doing on the track.....🤯
Serving as a bit of a crutch to help make up for the absence of force feedback :-)
@@t0ast_plus_plus is this in a league or something. Can anyone join?
@@a.benaway_racing Just a quick series for fun that someone in the Kansas City Region SCCA started up while events are on hold (this being week 2 of 4 ... for now). I live there to!!
That's my hometown man. The eclipse was super cool. Great video!! Subscribing
AHAHAHAHAHA!
Do they keep the same track setup for the whole year or do they change it each time?
The overall layout changes each time, but the venue is somewhat limited in the variety and shapes of elements it can support, so some parts will eventually reappear (with or without small tweaks) in later events.
Wow, you are very good at this.I've pretty much only been piloting Jenners, and I've done it for a while, and I am TERRIBLE. I get legged all the time.It doesn't help that my computer isn't beefy, so it CAN get really laggy.
Looks more "realistic" styled racing mechanics instead of the crazy derp ways of the other initial D arcades
DUUUUUDE! These videos are an absolute GODSEND! You are the Sensei' of Light Mechs!
Now they are using a colin mcrae style of road race? WTH???? Seriously Japan?
what the hell are you talking about? its just an easy map.
How do you pilot the mech this well? Are you using a keyboard/mouse or a joystick/controller?
I wonder when its going to come out in singapore?
Wish America could get this. What a shame.
Same here in Europe...
after the checkpoint, why remains 150 seconds, not 180+ seconds displayed??
yehhh, I can't wait
in what machine this game is running.taito type x2? or 3?
Stage 7 was on Sega's RingEdge hardware (or so I read), so it's likely this was the same.
way to make the best out of a buggy situation ;D
I kinda liked the song.... Is that weird?
Something is wrong.....
You should have more views...
I'll be waiting for more Jenner awesomeness.
You can haz Jenner back.
I had a Hunchie and a Spider, just cause I felt like strapping a Gauss to a light and being a glass cannon but sold them both for a Jenner. Worth it.
I like this series, it's really cool, do more videos man
Man, you're a really good jenner pilot, your videos are really cool and i'm learning a lot with then, but i have a question, JR7-D or F?
