I really liked Brandon Ingram. However, he does nothing to help this team. He is not a great defender or rebounder. In fact, he would be a significant downgrade from Rui in those two categories. Not to mention that this team already struggles to get rebounds which leads to extra possessions for opponents. Besides... This roster needs another big that can help AD get rebounds as well as contest shots. The Lakers need Vanderbilt and Christian Wood to get healthy instead of trading away good players and draft capital. Vanderbilt should be cleared to return soon. His return will definitely improve the perimeter defense. Christian Wood should be back in the lineup by the all-star break. Wood is the big man that can help AD dominate the paint on both sides of the ball.

There are several reasons for the decline of NBA fans and veiwers. I think that everything that was mentioned in this video is true. However, I also think there are other issues that need to be mentioned. First was the controversy involving the ref who threw games. That lead some fans to believe the NBA was set-up for ratings and to make the most money possible. There is also a no iconic player that the fans think are immortal or that they grew up to hate. All of the best players in the NBA are friends. There are no more cold blooded assassins like Kobe and Michael. Plus, the game itself has changed. I grew up watching and rooting for the Showtime Lakers. There was a certain lure to behind the back no look ally-oop passes and in your face posterizing dunks. Teams played full court defense and players played hard on both sides of the ball. Players never took games off nor did they believe in "load management". Todays players dont attack the rim with authority, they dont play solid defense for all four quarters. Todays stars dont take over games anymore. Players all want to jack up threes every time they touch the ball. They think flopping is defense and the guys who play limited minutes or they ride the bench make millions of dollars. The game is boring and nearly unwatchable during the regular season and the big wigs are resorting to making gimicks during the all-star game and with the play-in tournament. As for the trade proposal in this video... I would be all in favor of it. It is the best trade that i have heard so far this season. The Lakers need to add a dependable big who can give AD a rest while still providing rim protection, rebounding and scoring in the paint.
