Several years ago, I was driving to work and could hear a noise from the bottom of my car. I ignored it, I had only £20 in my account so I knew it couldn’t be fixed immediately. I drove to work and worked an additional two hours to ensure the work was completed. I finished work at 7pm instead of 5pm. It was winter, it was dark and now my car was the only car in the car park. Nonetheless, I headed home driving through country roads which had no properties for miles and soon enough that noise under my car began again! This time I prayed and asked God to help me because it had gotten louder. I was driving and praying with my eyes open and there was no turning anywhere, then, suddenly, out of nowhere a truck’s light was behind me and I was being beeped at by the driver, he was waving at me to pull over. I looked in the mirror and three men were in the front of that truck. Afraid, I sped up. I’d completely forgotten that I’d just prayed, now I began to say, ‘I’m not dying this way with three men raping me and throwing me into the forest!’ And so I continued speeding and they followed me out of the country roads until I turned into a little cul de sac. I got out of the car and was about to scream at them so the neighbours would hear, come out and help me. Instead one of the men got out, put his hand up in a stop gesture. I froze, I couldn’t speak, the anger and fear immediately disappeared and he said, ‘We were sent to help you, your tyre has burst!’ I didn’t register the ‘we were sent to help you’ part until much later. I looked at my tyres, he was right, I explained that I didn’t have any money but he waved my statement away then literally took charge, knocked on the front door of one of the houses, the man that answered had everything needed for the specific car I had back then. Afterwards, I thanked him, the other two passengers remained in the truck and all refused the £20 I offered. It wasn’t until later that evening when I prayed again thanking God that I realised what had happened and who they were. It’s a miracle that I’ll never forget. God answered by sending His angels.
