It was great to see Reggie Jackson in this video clip (him and Steve Garvey were my two MLB Heroes in the 1970’s & 1980’s). He made his guest appearance on The Love Boat just so . . . SUPER COOL! I will never forget when he was flirting with a woman on the show. The woman replied back “WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? REGGIE JACKSON?!?!?” (she immediately walked away). The laughter exploded but I will never forget how my Mom laughed ever louder (she is now HOME with The Good Lord above). Yes, there was Saturday Night Fever at the movies and at the Disco’s throughout our Nation (I was a teenager back then; too young for all of that). BUT, the Saturday Night Fever that I got to experience in the late 1970’s (on ABC-TV) more than made up for not going to the Disco. Wonderful memories. 👍👍🛳💯😊

The love boat had such an eclectic mix of actors as its guest stars. Actors who are on their way to stardom, struggling actors who dont become successful and famous, once famous but now washed up actors, famous actors from the golden age of hollywood in the 1940s-1950s, currently famous actors, actors from successful but since canceled tv series, etc. I sometimes wonder if any of the actors who appeared on Love Boat ever considered it beneath their personal and/or professional dignity to have done a stint on Love Boat. Im reminded of actress Rue McClanahan who did a few Love Boat episodes in between her 2 hit series: Maude and The Golden Girls. In her autobiography she refers to The Love Boat as "Captain Stubing's celebrity purgatory."

I stopped watching because I did not see a lot of Black people.

The love boat 🚢 a sensation tv show living many years on air and right now inside the mind heart and memories of millions around the world 🌎. I always pray to god for let me live these wonderfuls years in family around the TV 📺 waiting the familiar series and love between us eating drinking and enjoying the moment. Sadly my mom and dad my pet 🐕 Bear cross the rainbow 🌈 but they will live with me in my memories and dreams forever ❤❤❤❤❤. Thanks. Never knew some of these people were on Love Boat - Jeremy Brett! I had also forgotten they did not have the special looking-at-camera shots in some seasons. The most fascinating part of the camera shots are seeing who is genuinely smiling, who is trying to smile, and who just looks dead inside. And they misspelled poor Jon Cypher's and Pam Grier's names.

WHO? 20:46. You'd have to know ABC's "All My Children" during it's high point in the early to mid 1980s to know this guy . Greg & Jenny Era. AMC's "superstar couple".

WHO? 20:05. Paul Kreppel . Played the lounge singer / piano player on the ABC prime time show "It's a Living" that made it into syndication in the early to mid 1980s . The cast revolved like a carousel , with Paul as one of the staple players. The most famous cast had Ann Jillian as one of the waitresses .

WHO? 17:57 Peter Isacksen. was on a short lived show called "CPO Sharkey" w/ Don Rickles . NBC 1976-77. He was VERY TALL so Don looked like a dwarf next to him .

WHO? John Gavin . 13:44 He was in the first scene of "Psycho" w/ Janet Leigh . The affair in the hotel room before she steals the money. The scene was very racy for the time . He was in other things but being in "Psycho" for a tiny role , is better than being the star of some piece of crap cowboy or pirate movie. P.S. He was pretty hunky back in the day - add a star.

WHO? Pat Finley . 12:26 Very very minor star . She was on the Mary Tyler Moore show one time as this chipper air-head named "Twinks". Later she played a MINOR role on the Bob Newhart Show as Howard Borden's girlfriend in the later seasons.

WHO? Pat Crowley . 9:00 Was in this REALLY annoying sit com in the mid 1960s called "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" . "Daisies" somehow made it into syndication in the early 1970s , so it would be on after "Gilligan's Island" in that "reruns before dinner" time slot.

WHO? 8:12 Gary Conway. First role was the campy "Teenage Frankenstein" in the late 1950s . His big break was "Land of the Giants" in 1969. He looks HORRIBLE here ; back then he was a beefy big handsome dude! Maybe he was sick ?

WHO ? 7:20 Melanie Chartoff . She was on a show called "FRIDAYS" that was a direct knock off of Saturday Night Live on ABC in 1980. I think she was on Seinfeld once.
